we have 4 of these wired into a dimmable switch. really nice light to work by. I only added an overhead light for when we sell, we only use the light from these. They are 60cm above the worktop.

reading this at the moment, includes quite a bit of history on enclosure. It's good. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/aug/10/the-book-of-trespass-by-nick-hayes-review-a-trespassers-radical-manifesto

I would prefer cork over marm. Don't think our builders glued any of it down, we have about 30m2 but as @dbr says it wouldn't hurt...this was the stuff https://www.bricoflor.co.uk/cortex-corknatura-uv-pro-blx2011-rapid-sand-click-cork.html

we have forbo vinyl roll in bathroom and shows up every bit of the sub floor but still nice to walk on and look at. We have cork click downstairs in high traff areas, lovely to walk on, looks great - would love it in bedroom. Only a cpl of marks where a chair with a spiky leg was dragged accross it, also fades in uv. but I would still go cork anywhere in house.

does the boundary look like that on the plans? Why couldn't you change it to a right angle? Do you need to store bins in there? I'd personally go for more gravel and plants and a path. Whatever paving you get will need weeding anyway. Why not add some nice plants. I'd also go for a hedge, even boring old privet. Great for privacy and birds...that way you can just build a low wall...

https://www.wolf-garten.com/en/ use these at work, bulldog also good.
Niwaki hori isn't anything special, i actually prefer a cheaper serrated one we have.
this tool is great from niwaki though https://www.niwaki.com/forged-trowel/ -
i used to use felco secateurs but got a pair of okatsune for smaller hands and love them! can't comment on the snips but the secateurs are excellent quality and great value

Hoping this is not coming out as a reply but my own question! hope someone can help. I have had two of these sinks fitted by our builder and both times they have leaked as there are holes underneath from manufacturing - i guess something to do with firing process, but when you run water it starts pissing out of these holes! https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/kyoto-large-rectangular-600-x-460mm-0th-wall-hung-basin
I've tried 2 different types of waste and still leaks.
I've accepted defeat and that this is just a shit sink (unless someone has a suggestion?)
Anyone got a recommendation for a 600m wall hung sink with no tap holes, please? I can't afford lusso stone type of money....but being able to clean my teeth at a sink (been doing it over the bath for a year and the bathroom has been done that long!) would be nice so i guess maybe i should credit card it -

beware of aminopyralid contamination in manure. ruined various crops last year after i got some compost dropped off! https://www.growveg.co.uk/guides/the-problem-with-manure/
