Thanks for the tips @c4shr, have updated accordingly.

Last night, riding down Sewardstone road (West side of Victoria Park), 3 hoodied up guys on Boris bikes, ride along side me, tried to kick me off my bike, eventually forced me to stop then snatched my 6 month old Brompton that I've been using occasionally. Oh and they also got away with my laptop and wallet etc. as it was in my (black ortlieb brompton) frame-mounted bag at the time.
Filed a police report and shall keep an eye on ebay, gumtree etc. But would appreciate the collective gaze of lfgss if you see one of these going cheap:
Brompton Black Edition M6L. Was pretty much mint, bought from new, I have frame serials proof of purchase etc.
Cheers

Hi Ray,
It's still going. I'm pretty confident it's the original paint, it's a wonderful metallic blue - with what I believe to be the original decals. There's a few little chips, the most are around the underside of the top of the seat stays.
I'm not sure what the tubing is for the frameset I'm afraid, I can tell you the serial is '96477', which I believe means it was the 964th bike they made in 1977. But I'm unsure what actual model it is. I bought the frameset on ebay about 5 years ago.
The dropouts are indeed campag.
Any other, questions - or if you'd like some more photos, let me know.
Cheers,
David

Brand New. My girlfriend already rides an Oporto, and she loves it, its a wonderful town bike. Nippier than most town bikes, (try lugging a Pashley up a hill), but still with a rack and pannier capacity should you need it. Finished with a very decent spec, Brooks saddle and grips, Mavic rims and Sturmey Archer groupset. These solid components on a reynolds frameset, give you a quality bike with classic looks / geometry that’ll run and run.
Taking it outside to take these photos is the first it's seen of the outdoors. For more stock photos, see the cooper cycles product page. This bike retails at £999 (Soho Bikes), and is brand new unridden still ridden with bubble wrap and manual/tool pouch.

Built up and ridden a handful of times, just been collecting dust. Another bike has come into the stable so this one has to go.
Spec as follows, pretty much all components are either new or nos :
- Mercian Frameset:
Size: 60cm Seat Tube CtT, 58cm Top Tube CtC. Serial dates the frameset to ‘77 - Mavic Open Pros on Formula X Hubs with Gatorskins (23c), 30 miles tops.
- Brooks B17 Saddle Brown (Brand New)
- Cinelli 1A Stem and Cinelli Giro D’Italia Bars (64-40), Brooks Leather Bar Tape.
- Campagnolo Strada/Pista crankset. Drive side is a strada crank that was filed down to make a single chainring crank, other crank is Pista, visually make a pair to the naked eye, length 170mm.
- Campagnolo Chainring (48t), rear sprocket 17t. Chain 3/32”
- Campagnolo Seatpost
- MKS Sylvan Pedals with MKS leather Toeclips and Brooks Toe Straps
Frame is in great condition, no dents or dings - straight and true. Paint is a beautiful deep metallic blue, has a few chips, mainly at the top of the seat stays (some of which have been touched up), but all things considered for the age is very good.
Currently has a front brake lever attached, but no front caliper. Some chump nicked the brake off my pub bike and I had to pilfer this one. It is currently set up as fixed though, so can still be ridden away, but I’ll leave the lever on for the next owner’s discretion to remove the lever or replace the caliper.

Cheers @FredyCro, found this beauty of a blog post which seems to cover the lot:

Now on the hunt for some Cinelli Valencias!

Just down to looking for some more suitable black riser / sweep bars, any suggestions appreciated, post is over at: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/258730/

Mornin all,
Finishing up my build as mentioned here, and I'm after some black bars with a bit more sweep / rise.
Closest I've found are the Gusset Stash Bars but ideally I'd like more rise than this, with a similar amount of sweep (not talking Porteur..)
Bars need to be able to accommodate levers and an STI shifter.
Any recommendations gratefully received

Not that bad actually @Howard, cheapish avid levers, but the 'speed dial' adjustor allows you to alter the pull ratio. Still bedding in mind
Was a concern when assembling, but wanted cable discs to give me flexibility with bars.
-
So it took a little longer than anticipated, but figured I'd update this thread with the progress. Pretty much there, only ridden up and down the road.
Forgive the shoddy cable routing, that's one of the last few tasks this weekend (ran out of cable ties)
Todo: Paint modded seatstay, cable routing, mudguards (and rack when required)
Big thanks to Fitzrovia Cycles for the frameset, Donhou Bicycles for the belt drive mod and August Wheelworks for the bombproof wheelset.

Cheers guys!
