Disclosure: the jet joke was funny the first time, i showed it to friends and laughed, but jokes wear thin, and when the same guy keeps replying with useless statements, it gets on your nerves, when all you wanted to do was to see if anyone was selling a decent aero ROAD frame.

My original post was completely fine, just people couldn't leave it alone with unrelated services.

Also the carbon sleeve on the inside of my forks is faulty, i.e i cannot fully tighten headset, so bike is quite dangerous to ride atm, and local bike shop are completely useless

So for me, its turbo only atm

If you want to compare bikes thats fine, but don't just comment unrelated things on wanted ads, its un called for.

Not saying it wasn't a good place to buy and sell, just that some of the users were putting me off using the site

@Dawid_Owl Could not agree more. I don't ride fixed gear, but I totally appreciate the art and beauty of bespoke fixed gear bikes, sometimes i do just look at the bike porn section.
But at the same time, you can't expect people to understand all the in jokes and be totally on board, some people aren't as hardcore as others, and that is completely fine.

But i have come on here and just put an ad out to see what was out there, but i'm not going to sit by whilst individuals just waste my time and then get upset when I call them out on their bullshit.
Im sure 99% of people on here are wonderful people, would love meet so many and talk bikes. But you can't expect to grow and get more people involved if you just argue for the sake of it.
What if you turned up at someones house, going to buy a car for example, and just started going in on the guy (or girl) personally. They would tell you to fuck off. Not saying that is exactly what happened here, but i hope you can see why Im a bit pissed off when I get notifications about my ad and instead for genuine sellers, it's fairly sad people who have nothing better to do than just annoy for the sake of it.

I'm here to find a bike (or frame). This is one many i am looking at. I'm perplexed as to how this has ground your gears so much, so not so much waiting for a bike to fall into my lap, just looking over the whole market to find the right bike for me.

I'm antagonising anyone, except people who antagonise me and comment on my post with about unrelated things. This could have all been avoided if you just didn't comment if you don't have something to sell me. But it seems like you were too proud and when I started calling you out i get comments like you've lived a sheltered life.

Plus this site shows people spending more on single speed bikes then they do cars, so it's far to say the majority of people have lived quite a nice life on here, I certainly can't complain, I've worked hard and lived a fortunate life. But I understand this and don't call other people out on.

Basically mate of mine showed me this when i told him i wanted a new frame.
Some guy was selling vision metron carbon wheels at a massive discount. Also found a scott addict for a good price, so put an ad (Putting ad's in loads of places to see what is out there).

I understand this place is mainly for ridiculously expensive and impractical fixie's but people still place stuff for road bike equipment on here.

I did bump my original wanted add, because Bob was so keen for me to do it, even though that is apparently wrong. So according to the admin, making a new add (because the old one wasn't getting any traffic, because it was so old) is the right thing to do.

I agree that this is a community, but your not a great member of it. I checked my original post and it was made 2 weeks ago, now how can you remember an obscure post by a new member from two weeks ago, seems like you spend a great deal of time on this website.

I have a chip on my shoulder because you're putting yourself on a pedestal, (You already have a thread for this, My further advice would be to relax), whilst putting other users (i.e me) down, (Giving you advice as you are new). Basically this post doesn't affect you in anyway put something meant you just had to comment on how is was using the site wrong, to stroke your own ego.

As I said, this site is great but I see a lot of dick measuring contests on here, so thats why I'm getting a bit pissed. I was just looking for an item for sale, what did you get from this exactly? If I kept opening new threads I could see your point but i've made two threads? Is that a crime?

Tbh as I said I think this website isn't for me, from my experience it's hard to sell anything on this site due to the "banter" you get around the forum model.
