Good to meet @umop3pisdn and @6pt this morning for the first time.
@HoKe, sorry I didn't say goodbye, but didn't see you peel off.
It was fast, and kind of fun. Though a bit too busy and elbowy for me, so kept having to chase back on after lights which was tiring. Good for the lungs though.
Think I'll stick to Kent lanes from now on though.

Mmm, was a bit hectic today. Lots of people jumping on. Difficult to get any sort of discipline with so many riders. Lights don't really help either. Good to meet yourself and Hoke.

I had fun. Worth getting out of bed for.

@TTM, @6pt & @umop3pisdn are bloody elite machines!!!
I blew up after 3 laps/more people started hooking onto our group! So solo laps on my own for about an hour before I had to head off to work! =/
Was nice to get the lungs and legs working again, as it reminded me of the good old track days at HH.
Great seeing you again @TTM, still fast as fuck! @6pt lovely to see the new gal on the road and riding behind you again reminded me of the good old days at HHV ;)
@umop3pisdn was lovely to meet you too (what I got to see anyways from trying to hold onto your wheel) from what I can see, your watts output is incredible at the cadence!
Kudos to all of you guys! I will need to MTFU and get fitter sooner than later! (hopefully keep riding for at least 5 laps next time round)
Safe riding peps!

I really question you and @umop3pisdn definition of 'fun'

High or low cadence?
Was going alright until I blew up after 35 minutes. Pace was a bit rapid to start, I had around a 25mph for this first 3 laps I think.
6pt's Serotta is ridiculously nice.

From what I could see definitely a high cadence, plus the gear you was pushing was f-ing amazing!
I have to take some of the blame for the initial pace, But I also blame @6pt as I get rather competitive and knowing he was breathing down my neck didn't help with the initial pace! (plus the fat buggar was drafting me!) ;)

Definitely a bit hard out the gate, but what doesn't kill you, etc. ta for all the turns on the front while I wheelsucked like a boss &also the bike love (just spotted it in hhsrb, lol). It felt good before but with the zipps on it feels 'right' so it might make a few more outings. That or I'll swap it in and try and get the Look out for its yearly shakedown run, but I feel guilty riding that when I'm not fast.

I don't think you need to feel guilty!
Zipps are perfect. What's the braking like with them? You need to lose the Gatorskin tub though. Or rather, don't, you don't need to go any faster.

Bit pulsey on the back, smooth on the front, stops just fine. Surprisingly ok really. Needs matching nice tubs really but I cba to sort while they both hold air.

Sounds like a bit of a brutal session, think i would have lasted about 1/4 lap. Had a nice pootle round kent instead. Now work. Ugh
-
• #88
Nah, you would have kept up and left me for dust! ;)
On hindsight, it was a very good session, good company and the weather was perfect. Not too windy and traffic only got worse around 7 onwards.
