  • Penciling my name in, too far in time for any more serious commitment as I will need to judge closer to the day based on fatherhood duties, but it'd be good to meet some badgers!

Would be on a CX obvs

    Is this before/after your 12h thing @BareNecessities?

  • Is this before/after your 12h thing

Definitely before, as that's on hold for the time being :-)

Would be on a CX obvs

Did I not mention the 34mm minimum tyre width requirement...

  • I run 35 in summer, should be good!
Plus the route goes through some perennial mud pits, there might be a place for 33s even in July!

  • perennial mud pits

    Out.

  • How many pubs are on the route?

  • Tentative in, subject to working out the logistics of getting there.

  • One, but you pass it twice

  • One, but you enter it once and can wait in there until the rest of us finish the ride

    ftfy

  • I've mentioned this to a non forum friend (yes, they do exist, I don't even have to pay him much) and he's keen too. So I might have a +1.

  • In for stickers and cake

  • I'll get a new batch of stickers made up for the ride :-)

Typically handed out for acts of extreme bravery

  • extreme bravery

Like ordering starters, main AND pudding?

  • Only if you keep it all down

  • Typically handed out for acts of extreme bravery

Like sending it over a 3ft jump to flat on the back of a tandem despite having just tried it once which ended with your balls dragging on the back tyre

  • Sadly, the owner of that tandem @liam-h now lives far far away, so we won't be seeing it again :'(

  • sending it

There will be none of this from me.

  • Oof. How are you supposed to jump a tandem?

  • OMJ!!!

  • You can get an overground with bike from somewhere west to somewhere east

@hippy not sure where you're coming from, but when going to Swinley, I go-
    Black Horse Road
    Gospel Oak
    Richmond
then on to Brandon from there.

You can certainly take your bike on the District line. And I can lead from Walthamstow to Chingford if any one wants to meet before hand, and to ride the trails on the way there.

  • this is 10 mins from our new home, so... in

  • Never met any of you but, as I ride in Epping a lot anyway and I'm keen to meet some badgers, I'm in.

  • Might be up for this depending on how slow it is and what my fitness is like by then, I'm just getting back into riding after a few years off the bike.

  • And I can lead from Walthamstow to Chingford if any one wants to meet before hand, and to ride the trails on the way there.

that'd be a no brainer if I am coming
