Now you just have to choose between the Geometron or the tandem ;-)

I'm probably in for a cheese straw and a train beer. @Colm89 @Redmuska @hillbilly ?
-
• #33
Yes! I was just musing over the fact that i need to fix my dropper and start actually riding my bike this year!

That's not people "getting lost" with you, BN. It's people disappearing into the bog of eternal stench and never surfacing. :-D

• #35
Alrighty! New peeps everywhere! :-)

Andrew Neethling and Brendan Fairclough tearing up Pitch Hill:

If anyone fancies hitting them up, I know where they are...

Wanna come to the ride?
Pretty sure I know everything apart from the step up, but a mate knows that one. -
• #39
Good thing that you're coming on the ride as if I'm mistaken about the location of those trails you can always show us. :-)

I assume this is not a CX friendly ride?
Plans to build a MTB failed recently
-
• #42
When has that stopped you before? And you've got 2 months to get sorted.
-
• #43
Just need to find a good deal on an Orange Crush somewhere...
-
• #44
Do you still want those risers then?
-
• #45
Yeah, it's the start of my build! Haha
-
• #46
A MTB would be better. Many trails could be done on a CX bike but some trails with more pronounced ruts, roots and holes could be hard work.
-
• #47
Maybe too much work for a 'comeback' ride. Let see if I can build a MTB

Marin San Quentin 1 or an entry level Sonder Transmitter are also worth looking out for. You can get a Transmitter with a Recon fork and SX Eagle for £949 new.
You can get a San Quentin 1 for £725. Extremely capable, trail smashing entry level hardtail. Fork is basic but the frame is worth upgrading. -

I rode most of the stuff over there on my CX bike - it was actually more fun than my 29’er
-

Horses for courses, I suppose.
I just know that a CX bike wouldn't be my first choice. Or my second. Or my third. Or... :-D
Wanna come along for the ride?
