It was the only facility built for the games (if i dont mistake by reading articles)I am sad I dont speak english as well as I would like to explain that the reality is far from what they want to show. Not want to be "that" guy but we are far from paradise on earth.
Crack users are back in area where they had "disappeared" just before the start of the olympic games. Streets which were cleaned are now trash as usual, police no more friendly (have twice very pleasant interactions with them where they would have usually threatening you), back to repression, velib/limebike/etc are no more in abondance,...Paris2024 = minimal investment, maximal profit, for them, not us.

Like 2012 London.
Trappes was made to look so much nicer...
Were there official protestors?

Paris syndrome is real.

Anyone notice that 3 swimmers were taken to hospital for nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea after their swimming events in the Seine?
-
• #931
Pretty sure at least one of them said that her team doctor said it was nothing to do with the river and was some other bug she'd picked up.
-
• #934
If we are just pasting links. the point I made was not ALL athletes blame the river for being ill; finding one that does is not proving the point.

Very true, but I won’t be taking a dip the next time I’m in Paris. Jolien Vermeylen‘s interview after the triathlon told me all I needed to know.

Medals should transfer with him.
-

You can have his silver medals. We still smoked yas.
But while you're at it, Belgium gets any of Wiggo's palmares, Kenya gets any of Froome's, there's no Team GB bullshit any more so Scotland and Wales medals are split into their proper countries so England is further down the list where they actually belong.
Oh and horse dancing is fucking banned.Happy to help.

By your logic, Australia should only keep medals won by indigenous Australians.

By your logic, all medals should go to Africa or maybe Pangea/Gaia or whatever you want to call it.

Nah, to the meteor that brought protozoa or whatever here.

£12m to Boxing for a single bronze!
Just think how many horses Charlotte DuJardin could have brutalised with that level of funding? -
• #946
Might've paid for enough wind tunnel time to beat the Aussies... nah! :D
-
• #947
That would be approximately 2 horses.
(Her previous, now retired horse Valegro was valued at £6 million)The horses are not purchased by UK Sports though, you need to supply your own horse, so not a very accessible sport to the unwashed masses.

unwashed masses
Don't we steal horses?
Has Brassic been lying to me?!
-
• #949
Isn't that down to stud fees, if the horse is a mare how would it be valued once retired?

Breaking won't be in the 2028 Olympics. Hooray. I hope we've also seen the last of Raygun. She must be the worst Australian ever. If only Getting In A Police Car had been an Olympic event - an easy gold for Mr Succulent Chinese Meal.
LA are also using Long Beach as the venue for rowing. That was the venue used for rowing in 1932, but unfortunately they've built a bridge in the meantime and so rowing will be over 1500m instead of the standard 2000.
