Leaning against a trig when you've got a kickstand at hand (foot?) – counter-culture, baby!!!!

Thanks, love me a front mech!
@JacqueLucque lol, I’m finding myself using the kickstand much less on this bike, the Susie’s limo-stance benefitted more from it.

Three month update now that I’m well-acquainted with the Hog:
• it rides like…a bike; burly without feeling dead. Looks great, tough powdercoat. Happy I went with 26” wheels. And way more practical to transport on the train than the Riv.
• recently swapped out the Stooge Motos and 11cm Rhonda stem for SimWorks Getarounds and a 9cm Tomboy stem. My traps seem happier and the 25.4 clamp seems friendlier.
• swapped out the Diamond rack for a Grill; now a permanent feature. Better footprint for a Voile’d Wald 137 and bag for post-gym food shop.
• gearing is soo good, find myself using the 26/40 more than expected!

That's a stunning section of The Ridgeway between Uffington and Childrey, so nice.

The Hog is dialled, really happy with it and have zero desire to mess with its current getup. This is how it tends to look in errand mode, but I lose the basket and tote for off roading.
The pièce de résistance (geddit) has to be the resistance reflector 🍉

Love it. I would really like a bar bag or similar that uses the keffiyeh pattern, but don't know of any hardwearing prints.
Glad to hear things are dialed in now. It's a sweet moment when you feel you're finally happy with your setup and can enjoy the ride.
EDIT: Whoops, wasn't meant to reply to you specifically carlosbrown, my bad.

@Browndonneur where did you order your cranks and spider from? I’m interested in exactly the same spec but can’t find them in stock on any websites I know/trust.

Hiya, they’re Middleburn RS8 X-type MTB cranks which I’ve had for years. You can get them new from BETD’s website or used on this forum or eBay from time to time. The spider is also a Middleburn one, a 104/64 BCD duo specifically for the RS8 X-type cranks. Scarce nowadays but sometimes come up here or on eBay.

Thanks, stock on BETD is all over the place, I’ll email them and ask if they are restocking at any point soon.
Looks great, long live the front derailleur!
I’ve been dreaming up a similar build based around a Crust Evasion, unfortunately real life will be getting in the way of new bikes for the foreseeable.
