New pinarello? That fork headtube junction is very odd
-
• #29
Headtube is super skinny now for “gains” cable routing changed
Want one. Won’t pay for one.

I knew 1 1/8 straight HT / forks would come back around, it was only a matter of time! Now for Dura Ace Di2 9270 9 speed

Enter the draw for a free one.
Dogmas are really nice.
The steerer is not straight, it’s still tapered. -

Carb intake during a stage has increased to the equivalent of 5.5 bananas per hour https://www.bikeradar.com/features/tech/2024-tour-de-france-tech-predictions?utm_campaign=TdF%20special%20newsletter%2024%2F06&utm_content=Read%20Simon%27s%20predictions&utm_term=&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Adestra

Are there any nice pubs/cafes (not VIA) that show the Tour?
No LMNH or Canopy finds me wishing for somewhere nice to watch it with pals

Giro in Esher?

• #38
I guess I should have specified ‘in London’

I know Three Hounds in Beckenham were talking about showing it a while back not sure if they've decided to
Shirkers Rest in New Cross worth a go, they'll usually stick the TV on upstairs if you ask

Rapha in Soho?

I watched the opening stage at Blondies Brewery in Leyton. Great pizza & beer!

Id highly recommend riding up the couillole and descending via the gorges du cians off the back side of the climb if you do go, it's one of my favourite descents in the area through a beautiful gorge down to rigaud and the var valley

Rescheduled a meeting this afternoon so I can watch the entirety of today's stage, better be worth it. I did very much enjoy the Galibier last year, even if it did break my bike.

Cheers, that gorge looks amazing! I may try and do that ride another day as it's probably a bit too far to try and get back to Nice after the stage finish.
I may aim to get up Col de Braus early in the morning and get a good spot.

Bullfinch Brewery has it on Fri/Sat/Sun when I'm on shift. The other staff aren't all that interested so if I'm not there they are not likely to put it on unprompted.
I won't be there this weekend but if you ask nice whoevers behind the bar might - as long as it doesn't clash with the football (🤮). I can also give them a nudge in the work gc ;) -

I did too despite my face 🤣

i did it as a loop from nice including the col de la colmiane - a 200k DIY audax earlier this year which may not be exactly what you're looking for
for the braus - i'd recommend somewhere up here on this stretch - you'll get a great view over the switchbacks below
