I need to do more longer rides this year, so will up for these.
Tues is good for me too. That'd clash with south hills, but then there could also be some crossover/colab, and would only be every 2nd week anyway. -

Hello! I should be available sporadically but unfortunately Tuesday is probably the worst day for me. Don't move it on my behalf though as I'm going to struggle regardless unfortunately.
Are Thursdays now problematic?
-

No real issue with Thursday either if that's better for people. Tuesday was the OG day, right? Although we've also done Wednesday.
-

Yeah, amazingly it looks like the last Tuesday ride was in 2013! Then Norths chased it to Wednesday, followed by Arsenal’s CL antics chasing it to Thursday I think.
Realistically I’m unlikely to be able to make many either way, so I’m happy to go with the flow..

i'll stick my hand up for some evening riding.
easy on the day, it'll be sporadic as above. -

Nobody wants to do Surrey this Thursday, right?
-
• #9
Yeah sorry that's a no thanks from me too. Got something else I need to go to, but mainly also just feeling soft.
-
• #10
How about half a dozen laps of Regent's Park inner at conversational pace?
YOU'VE ALL GONE SOFT.

So, Roydon on Thursday 13th April then?
-
• #13
Good job we didn't do Surrey - noticed my cleats were loose on the col de London Bridge this evening

OK, ride is up: https://www.lfgss.com/events/8262/

I feel I need to point out that the Surrey Season opener is supposed to be the week before the clocks go back, just to maximise the stupid macho bollocks that I think we are all a little bit past these days.
I've done far too little riding in the last few years so I'm really looking forward to Roydon. It'll be a stretch for me, but this is a route that very little can go wrong on, we can have a chilled ride and still make the last train, even if it means foregoing the pub at the end!

Good shout, am in
-
• #17
even if it means foregoing the pub at the end
at the risk of breaking with tradition, last year we inadvertantly discovered that the pub over the road is open an hour later than the original one (although that may only be as a result of the bar staff skiving off early that night)..

I was thinking of swinging by Norths this week, but Potters Bar next week? 4 May? Puts us back on the traditional schedule and avoids a clash with Eurovision the week after.
-
• #19
Yes please, I got an audax this Friday night, so that'll work out for me nicely

Next ride is up: https://www.lfgss.com/events/8359

Potters Bar would've been rather character building this evening

E4 this week? https://www.lfgss.com/events/8437/
-
• #23
yikes it's been a month since we didn't arrange something. How are we set for this week?
Also I'm planning to ride out to either Ivinghoe or Cambridge early doors tomorrow if anyone fancies it.

Thursday is the latest sunset of the year, which I think is more apt for us than the actual solstice. Should be Ingatestone by tradition. Tradition is for cunts tho, so...

Ingatestone is pretty. Thursday evening looks fun. What are people's thoughts on Wednesday?

Less than 3 weeks until the clocks change. Anyone still up for riding bikes in the dark?
What day? I'm thinking Tuesday since Norths moved to Wednesday?
