I didn't have Andrew Lilico demanding Truss resign and telling her to inform the King to summon Starmer to the Palace, because he has more chance of commanding a Commons majority than any Conservative, in my list of options that might happen today.

At least 16 of those were paired (both sides agree not to vote). So maybe my explanation still holds? Just guessing really

Presumably they’re stuck because the second they put up a unity candidate who can be stuffed straight into number 10 someone will ruin it all by nominating Johnson, then the members will elect him over the unity candidate?
-

There’s no such thing as a unity candidate for this shower of cunts. They’re tearing each other apart.
It’s great.

Imagine Johnson gets back in, I mean its laughable but right wouldnt be surprised if he did.

The bullying allegations will fall away as the (Tory) MPs who people claimed were being bullied will just say "I wasn't bullied, it was just some robust discussion, classic Labour making unfounded allegations!" and then keeping their job and/or getting a "new hospital" (in reality a coat of paint in one ward in an existing hospital) in their constituency.

The media were busy trying to work out who made it not long ago and as far as I can see from a quick google they don't know yet, your man could be doing TV interviews

Name one likeable characteristic from any Tory PM in living memory
Robert Largan wrote a funny and knowing thinly-veiled commentary on the Truss car crash where he compared it to a dumpster fire

8.5/10 New Labour tropes you forgot to criticise Gordon Brown for ruining everyone's pensions

Apparently the Tory whips haven’t resigned after all….
It’s playing out like a The Thick of It script that was rejected as too far fetched

This government really is the most extraordinary thing ever. Too far beyond satire, too batshit crazy to really be believed.
No idea what happens next, but the tories seem to be fucking themselves for years and years to come. Absolutely amazing. -

Sorry this is the only good thing I can recall any Tories doing all of the time I've been alive so I'm out.
Politicians are all just the same though.
Obvious typo.
