  • I don't think rishi can sack her, it could very easy push the number of letters over the threshold for a vote of no confidence. he'll win it but then its only a matter of time before it all falls apart for him and they have to have an election. All rishi is intertest in now is steal as much money as he can for himself and his family.

I'm not sure all this will help Braverman with becoming the next leader. This bile she spouting is only appealing to the likes of Lee Anderson, jonathan gullis etc, there gone after the election and she won't have the votes to get to the final 2.

You can only laugh at her moronic comments about Northern Ireland, the only marches people know about in England is the orange order and there about the only political faction who still support the torys.

Its a bit like the time she referred to her battle against cultural marxism, with out knowing it marked her out as a massive anti semite.

  • The Cenotaph.

I've never heard anyone mention the Cenotaph before the last few days with the march and all that. Had to Google it.

I heard she wants to be sacked to elevate her right wing style and be a martyr. Would that make her suitable for leadership with Tories? Or is she too far right even for them based on the comments of her peers?

  • He's toast either way eh? If he doesn't sack her, he's weak. If he sacks her and there is trouble, she's gonna appear to have been right, further weakening Sunk.

  • Sunak was installed only because Truss made such a mess. He was walking toast from the off. Lettuce PM.

  • Heard something i didn't realise until I listened to And the Rest is Politics this morning, but Suella is apparently a Buddhist.

  • Yeah definitely. Sacking her would be playing into her hands I reckon.

  • Priti Patel currently advising the COVID enquiry she spent alot of her time reminding colleagues of the "operational independence" of the police and said politicians were "not there to dictate directly to the police when to arrest people or enforce the law".

  • This must be awkward for her and the loonies going on about defending the statue...

  • Heard an interesting pov that he should sack her and withdraw the whip, then threaten anyone who backs her with withdrawing the whip.

The logic was this close to an election people wouldn't dare to follow her.

I think there's something there as a strategy. But Sunak doesn't have it in him.

  • The biggest clue to her not being a Buddhist is everything she's ever done

  • It says she is not a a member or ordained, but it does imply she has attended the centre, just not recently. They acknowledge she is a mitra or friend of the community.

Wikipedia says she is a member of Triratna Buddhist Community, but not a member of the order.

  • Not getting the article cleared by No 10 might have been another breach of the ministerial code too.

  • Arguing about whether Suella Braverman is Buddhist or not wasn't something I expected to do today.
Regardless, if she is Buddhist, she's doing a fucking terrible job of it

  • But Sunak doesn't have it in him.

Boris withdrew the whip from Greasy Grieve, Jazz Hands Clarke etc and essentially purged remoaners MPs.

    pour encourager les autres

  • People think Buddhism is about loving butterflies but there's some pretty extreme death cult edges

    Such as the Tory party

  • That's austerity to you

  • This is what happened the last time the EDL came to 'dEfEnD' a memorial. I don't think Braverman has much to say that weekend, not about the National Front march to it this Saturday gone.

  • Love that the Tories arev twistin on this spit.
There isn't a good answer for Sunak here, to loose one of the Great Offices of State and release a major challenger to his Premership from Collective Responsibility. I get Braverman isn't really doing that much right now. But if free on the Back Benches, potentially much worse.

Yet to keep her looks like a weak leader leading? a divided party. WIN BLOODY WIN HA! HA! HA!

  • Priti Patel

She’s Dame Priti Patel now. It’s outrageous how thrash like that gets recycled. Next thing we know it’s going to be Dame Suella Braverman.
