  • Definitely. Foul weather is perfect for my physique

  • Weather looking very similar to the UK this time. Bit damn around the edges, but still nice enough to ride and not get completely filthy.

    Bike still looks 👌

  • No more messing around now.

  • Hubbahubba.
    A fine choice.

  • Fanboi!
I am slightly jealous. Those are good looking tires.

  • Don’t be jealous of the hole in my hand.

They do look quite good though.

  • Pictures or it didn't happen (please)

  • Of the hole in my hand, or the tyres?

    Planning on mounting them tomorrow.

  • Na it's more that I would feel self conscious with such good-looking/non black contact patches.
They might look incredible on my pale purple polyvalent though.
Unfortunately I bought rather nice but boring black terrene tires before the sex symbol of recreational cycling started designing tires.

  • Tyres, really. Definitely don't need to see the hole in your hand, that sounds uncomfortable.

  • They're on. Tubeless setup was super easy (especially when you have a friend do it).

  • We did a 60k loop after fitting them, and they ride really great. But would I ever admit otherwise? In any case, I'm very happy with them!

  • Lovely jubbly

  • Popping!

  • Spot on!

  • The tissue around the valve trick is great.

  • Is that a personal workshop or retail workshop?

  • I've not heard this trick before and am having my first go at setting tyres up tubeless tomorrow. How does it work?

First picture here, poke a hole in a tissue and put it around the valve to save yourself cleaning off the sealant you spill.

  • I’ve found a large syringe with a short tube attachment that gets dunked into the valve stem is pretty spill-resistant.

  • @PhilDAS: Starts googling. Thank you!

@Josh: His personal workshop. Very envious.

@Tijmen: "There’s more to the tissue trick.

Before putting the valve core back in, roll up a corner of the paper towel to wipe off the sealant on the inside of the valve. Otherwise you will get sticky valve cores (applying a little grease also helps).

And you can make the hole with the valve itself."

And thanks all, for the nice comments!

  • Simple but effective! Thanks.

  • Looking great. I really like that tread profile.

    Great workshop setup too!

  • Proper job that
