  • It makes me happy this bike is getting plenty use:) great commuter!

  • 30x28 is pretty tough, when you combine punchy hills and rough gravel! But the south of the Netherlands is pretty lovely.

I have also been converted to the religion of flat pedals, perhaps permanently. Any suggestions for some plastic candy pink ones?

  • F that. Get some silver MKS Gamma/Monarch Grip’s :)

  • DMR V6 come in pink. Great pedals.

  • Meh, mine started squeaking and getting loose after 1k kms. I have my eye on one up composites

  • Pink's a non-negotiable.

  • Pink's a negotiable.

Right, so get the MKS :)

  • Deity Deftraps?

    Such a nice bike.

  • Sorry to contradict but don't get these. I have them and what people say about the bearings/bush is correct. They are either super stiff after many moles or wear and come loose after a short period.

Honestly just don't get plastic. Metal variants are 100x better and last way longer. Just get some Unites or Burgtecs. Anyone I have known buy plastic has bought metal not long after.

  • all the DMRs are junk, even the metal ones. Avoid.

I'd get something that's all bearings, no bushings, like MKS.

  • Totally agree on avoiding DMR. Plastic pedals are great for MTB so definitely good enough for a gravelly bile. Nukeproof Neutron get good reviews and are available in pink https://nukeproof.com/products/neutron-evo-electron-evo-flat-pedals?variant=35459352723610

  • HT PA03 come in hot pink and are great

  • Not to worry; the IRDs are currently shining on the Crust.

yes, yes they are! Picture in full sun next time?

  • This looks like a great time

  • @Hulsroy: It was! Great weather and beautiful scenery.

@stelfox: Pictures in full sunlight don't look as good; needs to be slightly overcast. Should take some proper pictures sometime, until then here's one from a couple pages back:

  • Super, perfect cranks for it

  • Have you used these? My mate went through 2 pairs and they just wouldn't stop coming loose so it put me off them?

Don't rate plastic pedals at all unless it's just for something super cheap or a very light use.

  • Not myself. But a mate had them and thought they were good. But not great to hear about your mates experience.

My wife has the catchily named HT-PA03A on her gravel bike and they've been good so far. Get good reviews on MTB forums too. But not sure if they come in pink 😅

  • Can second the Deity Deftrap. Nice pedal ( if you're ok with composite ), and particularly good if you have large feet

  • looks better every ride

  • @BareNecessities: What are you trying to say about my feet buddy.

    @Maj: High praise!

  • @Tijmen said they're big enough to draft behind

  • Reported for feet shaming.

  • I'd also advise against getting the DMR V6 plastic pedals.
I had two pairs, both of them developed play within a year.
They run on bushings, no bearings, and you can't adjust them.
They are basically a "single-use" throw away item. :-(

I'd buy from a manufacturer that offers a service kit so that you can fix the pedals once the bearings/bushings are shot.

Race Face (Chester), HT (various Nano models), Deity (Deftrap) all do pink pedals and also offer rebuild kits.
At the moment I'm using the One Up Composite pedals that @JonasGeitus mentioned earlier.
I really like them. They don't come in pink though, only purple ...

  • Thanks a lot everyone. Didn’t expect so much feedback!
