Yeah it looked brutal! Nice, I'll keep an eye out for the cap.

Anyone care to give a review of the Zoa Rain Shell? I'll be doing what looks to be a very wet week's cycle round Wales - am particularly interested in how breathable it is

What’s the sizing like on Albion tees? Same as ‘normal’ clothes? And do their caps fit a slightly more powerful head?
-
• #532
My Daytripping shirt is a roomy medium. The caps are a great shape but slightly smaller than some others I have. You're welcome to try one on if you can get to Crystal Palace or Canning Town.

Great thanks and thank you for the offer, I think I’ll just order the t-shirt and not get tempted by the cheap cap!

What’s the difference between last season’s ABR1 bibs in the sale and the current full price bibs?
And how does Albion sizing compare to Rapha?
-
• #535
I think overall the sizing is similar to Rapha PT stuff. I never had a go on the ABR1 but my guess is that it's a refinement instead of a different construction and materials. Lots of good reviews of the ABR1's around though. Although saying that I got the insulated jacket 2.0 in the sale and am hoping they are broadly the same as the 3.0
I also want to know what reflective tape is used for customisation. Jacket is black which is all good but adding some DIY reflective designs would be nice

Yes, agree with @youramericanlover like-for-like with Albion, legs are relatively long on the bibs ...which is good for me :) but not for everyone.
And yes, there's a few tweaks/upgrades we did on this season (see upthread for info on additional panel in centre back for extending durability) but otherwise same fabric/pad/fit.

And we use a industry standard film (Dae Ha), cut with vinyl cutter, & applied with a heatpress. Did you see the Bromton thread, made some enhancements to stock kit using the films (dark grey and gold reflective). Think the next post has the back of the Ultralight Jacket;
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16616589/....you can get some iron-on scotchlite patches, which I have a set of, but never used;
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234353189628?We're planning on doing another workshop in the autumn, so perhaps applying reflectives could be a neat service to offer, alongside the repairs?
-
• #538
Thanks for the info! Would the jacket handle an iron? I am afraid I'm going to have a puddle of nylon in my hand or something.
A reflective service would be very cool IMO, although I have to say it sounds like a huge time sink for staff (but I'll leave that in your hands)!
-
• #539
ha! no no, that would be the point - that people can come and upgrade/enhance whatever they like, using pre-cut shapes/designs, plus option to cut out specifics if needed. The last pop-up we had some cool stuff going on, both with repairs/upgrades, and adding designs to existing kit.
....on the other end of things, I've just been doing 3 days of 3hr workshops with kids, doing heatpress onto T-shirts. Reflective, neon, glow-in-the-dark. Love it!

Does anyone know if long sleeve jerseys are similar fit to short sleeve? I'm a snug fit in medium short sleeve but think I'd want a bit of extra room in winter for a base layer.

Ordered some bibs, really nice, except the grippers are really baggy, sob. Not the rider I used to be, obviously. Ordered large, I’m 6’3” and 75kg, and the fit is perfect otherwise. Do I go for medium and risk the straps being too tight and legs being shorter than I want or can the grippers be adjusted by a professional?
-
• #542
I'm 6'5 and 80kg and the medium is totally fine. Legs are still longer than my other bibs. Also found the large too big and swapped them

Nice one, useful to know. Thanks

• #544
Has anyone got the rain shell? Is it worth the money?
-
• #545
If anyone is interested i will be selling my ultralight musette, never used.
I think from the OG first batch. the reflective band still came unstuck. -

Employed by Albion, so interpret at will, but my simple answer is yes. Top spec fabric (Pertex Shield Air), good features, pockets, with the weight/cut/fit suitable for on & off bike means you get good all-round use & high value out of it.
Be good to hear thoughts from anyone who has bought one?
-
• #547
I'm very tempted! How fragile is it? If I was to spend that money on a jacket I'd want a lot of years use out of it and want to be able to us it all the time, including bike courier work.
-
• #548
What sort of price out of interest? Ta.
-
• #549
My thoughts are also turning to winter waterproofing and so out of the rain jacket and rain shell, I wondered what the relative pac-ability was like?
Is that even a word? -
• #550
Tried the zoa one on in condor and i would so its not a pocket job
How did the TT go @Chopsicle? Some great photos of some very tired looking people on the Instagram! Any idea if this cap is going to be for sale at some point?
