Still searching through all the jdm drift car models and talking myself out until I get around to getting a compressor and all the gubbins.
A baby pink body with white wheel shrouds. Might have a look for some aftermarket 1:24 decals.

Also bought a cheap airbrush from eBay.... just as an experiment really. Waiting for some cleaning bits and thinners etc to arrive before I test it out

I have some model railway bits & pieces stashed away that were passed on to me by a relative. Something on that will be the next project. Anyway I painted some bits of the Beaufighter, had some left over paint so thinned it right down and weathered the wagon on the left. They both looked the same when I started, but I think the weathered one looks a lot more realistic now.

Fat fingered dad basically been told to get out of the way as Warhammer son gets the gear out to build an ME 109.

And you didn't roll a 20 for critical hit?

His interests seem to lie in building and painting the WH models rather than playing the game so I've never had that pleasure..
I'm going to insist on a role in painting the ME109. -

Must admit, the ME109 camouflage is really hard to paint (even with an airbrush). Kind of blotchy.

He's suggested drybrushing the camo.

Seeing this has prompted me to dig out my 1975 Airfix Magazine Guide 10 (1975)
It's probably a bit late to suggest modelling an earlier version with hard-edged splinter camouflage?

Thanks both.. The wet pallet was introduced and paint mixing has been taking place. Underside painted.

Go for it. Can see why you get the random pattern from doing that way.

There is a bloke from the US on the ARC Forum called CHUCKW. He does some amazing builds.

I have built some toon tanks over the past couple of years and finally got my son into modelling. He's built about 4 Gunpla models now.
@Qebrus if you go to Camden market, the bit in the stables with all the umbrellas has a pretty decent Japan hobby store with loads of gundam models.
I'm currently building a couple of SD gundam models, more to keep my son company than anything else.

love it, the middle tank is my favourite

The first tank reminds me of 'Gruber's little tank' from 'Allo 'Allo (for those of a certain age)

I’ve heard of that place but never managed to get around to going! After Tokyo Toys closed down there hasn’t been much in the offering of Gunpla in central London, bar the overpriced offerings at Forbidden Planet.
Just a quick build? ;)
