added Cinelli hotness
After their recent spate, and weird fixiecult following, Cinelli are a bit anti for me atm, even if I still think the CXSS is about one of the best SSCX bikes going.

Yeah I'm not necessarily saying they're all great i just think most Cinellis are very good looking bikes SSCX especially. I always wanted a Mash and when i finally got one i really didn't get what all the fuss was about and moved it on probably quicker than anything else I've owned.

Getting more into commuter mode now. Its already dark on my late night ride home mostly on a busy A road. Exposure Tracer and Lezyne laser drive combo. I reckon that'll do it. I'm even going to buy my first ever bell for this one. The lasers are brilliant i definitely get a bit more space and i get asked what it is all the time and these are less than £40 now

Got my first ever bell. A knog oi lux purely based on the fact it looks ok. The sound is pretty weak but my light game is looking strong. I've got 2 joysticks + a white and red eye for my helmet as well so proper commuter ready.

Mudguards on so finished and fully ready for winter commuting duties. Had to go with the crud road racers. I'm sure they'll break but they're light, cheap easy to fit look ok and with little fork clearance probably my only option. Despite this one not looking as nice as some I've seen it is the bike i wanted to build. Its lovely to ride and pretty weather resistant set up like this so I'm happy and i only went a couple of hundred quid over budget due to the wheels as i was going to go for higher end alu not carbon but my wheel builder did me a deal/groomed me on these. The Tune saddle is probably going to end up on another bike now as a 90g saddle seems out of place on a bike with guards and lights weighing it back down.

Loving what you've done with it @Retro_bastard! I wish I had the guts to build up a Zero for commuting. My rim brake Zero is only getting used in the best of weather so it'll likely sit dormant during the winter months.
I used a pair of those Crud roadracer mudguards on my commuter for many a year - They're ace for a light/pretty much full coverage guard. The flap on the front guard was the only thing to fail, but some gorilla tape fashioning got it fixed again. Oh, & maybe replaced the velcro fixtures once.@psg1ben - My collegaue actually has one of the old team (disc) medium frames for sale if you still fancy tickling that Genesis Zero itch...
The team colour disc frames were never available for sale to the public so super rare. Drop me a message if you fancy it, I'm sure I can persuade him to let it go at a reasonable price. It's been raced & is a little marked, but still in good nick considering...

Grr I'm just about to sell my road bike actually but can't replace it until I've moved, so will pass. I'm also not so big on the colours. But the tubing/carbon shapes really do it for me.

Love it in this colour🔥deep wheels and matt carbon everything else. I think this would look really nice.

@Soulnerd I've always fancied a 953 Volare should one become available. I'm try to sell a single speed and one of my older carbon road frames at the moment to fund a nice steel frame for a Sunday best build thats not carbon flavour for a change. Should you hear of one floating around I'd be interested. Paint condition not that important as i fancy getting it custom sprayed/polished although i do like the older shinier versions. Thanks again for sorting me out with this one though its so nice being able to commute on a bike everyday that is a genuine joy to ride 😁

It's been such a good bike. There's nothing i don't like about how it rides. I've been using it as my daily commuter throughout winter. I had to take the the front mudguard off as those crud racers are so flimsy they flap around in the wind and sometimes come loose on rough roads which is pretty much all roads at the moment. It's due a drive train refresh and new pads and tape then I'll continue to use it through summer as I'll only be using my shiny new bike in perfect conditions. The Master should finally be here by the end of the week 🤞
Nice 👌 merlin had some going cheap-ish a couple of weeks ago
