@samrensho I'll move this chat out of the thread to leave this to bike pics. Happy to chat riding in east tn.

nashville is especially bad. most of tennessee is pretty rural. i lived in chattanooga for 2 years and thought the cycling was great. what it lacks in bike infra it makes up for in fewer cars than a major city.

if you want mountains/great road riding you'll want to be on the east side of tennessee. the mtb in chatt and also knoxville is very good. there is a really cool mtb ultra there (TNGA) and a good road scene as well. when i lived in chatt i had like 7 30m climbs within 30m of my door, could ride to multiple trail centers, etc.

A new BB every 6 months sounds like no fun. What kind is it? I've been riding the same sealed cartridge BB on my tourer for many years.

If you value longevity and reliability, square taper sealed Shimano bottom brackets are hard to beat.

Shit photo of my All City Zig Zag from today. Definitely needs some less ugly pedals asap. If funds allow I might switch to hydro brakes at some point as well. Otherwise I love it.
Edit: ignore saggy frame bag, it's not normally that badly fitted.

Fantastic.
I'm hoping to move to the US in a couple of years, maybe Nashville (or TN in general) as I'm unashamedly a country music fan. How is the road riding out that way?
From looking on google maps it seems much more interesting than some states where its hundreds of miles of straight flat roads.
