I’d say yes. We used them for our kitchen - can’t speak for longevity as only been a few months but finish/hardware was good, fitters were impressed (fwiw).

Likewise, used them for my wardrobes. Happy with the product and I could pick up from Leyton. The screw length suggested online was s bit short the most recent time, but they gave me longer ones foc.

Yay for me, used for various coat hooks etc

We used them for the utility room cupboard doors

Another yes here, bought some lever and wardrobe handles after sussing out where the prices started for solid brass and not shit plated metal and seeing them as the best value and good designs.
Very impressed with what turned up, the box weighed a ton.
I’m a great believer in the TMH mantra from the owners book of “Light, space, nature and materials” i.E the things you touch and they definitely pass the touch test. -

Well I refuse to be the only loser without them...

I skipped Plank and went with some from here: https://www.dowsingandreynolds.com/product-category/home-hardware-handles/handles/kitchen-door-handles/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9fqnBhDSARIsAHlcQYQ1tRODDjOSuU0f0gD_zybtR9Jv3IXeWjuY4bPz_S2B1_-t5FQG8EoaAutQEALw_wcB - pretty happy with them, they seem nicely made and were not mega-bucks.

I've been away for a few days and the benchtops went in in my absence. Can wholeheartedly reccomend Imperial Marble and Granite if you're in SELondon. Hopefully get the plumber back later this week to commission the UFH and connect the tap up.

@chrisbmx116 - You have a bench seat in your kitchen as part of the EC led renovation right?
Looking at adding similar and had a few questions.
Did you consider a sloped back?
Are you happy with it and if so, what depth is the bench? Thanks!
-
• #7861
I do indeed! Think there are a couple of other folks on here with similar.
We didn’t consider a sloped back at the time, I’ve thought of trying to add one but not sure if it would ever be used.
Depth wise, maybe 35-40 ish? Can try and hunt out ruler…
Defo happy with it. Storage underneath is great. -

So good.
How did you manage to pass building control with those inset-into-doorframe steps leading up to the living room?
Our builder is adamant that we'll need to put in temporary steps which don't incorporate the door frame, and a fire door, to pass BC.

Thanks!
I have absolutely no idea! We always did have a step down but I guess it was inside the room rather than door.
All the open plan places pass so not sure why you’d need anything extra? When we had our loft done they said we would either need fire alarms in every room or replace all doors with fire doors, maybe that’s the answer? We went fire alarms obvs. -

Cool, if you do find a tape measure that would be really helpful. It’s going to be a tight fit so trying to work out the best dimensions without it being uncomfortable.
-

I'd imagine its because the ground floor receptions and extension effectively are one space and there is adequate means of escape at the front and rear. If escaping from above and the ground floor is on fire somewhere - the stair case is enclosed as a protected route to the front door exit via the hall.
The more problematic situation is when a stair comes down into a living / kitchen space with no hallway to the exit door. You then require a fire suppression (mist / sprinkler systems).

49cm!
You could go bigger but only a cm or so less. -

Can a washing machine be put in a bathroom? Does it need to be a specific type?
-
• #7872
Dont see why not.
-
• #7873
There’s regs around how close it can be to water but nothing you can’t work around. Dep on layout you could go nuts and slice off a 70mm wise slither to make a wash room as we did.

Look into bathroom zoning regulations from building control. I expect you'll be fine, but it's harder than you think to comply if the room is on the small side.
Essentially: an electrical socket for a washing machine must be beyond zone 2 which is 0.6m from bath, shower and basin(s).

Ok thanks, so maybe 60cm from the edge of a shower tray to closest edge of the washer? It is a small bathroom.
also interested in this - Ive followed them on IG but as soon as I did I was relentlessly battered with ads from apparently identical businesses
