I get you. But that's just another way of saying the number of second doses given. That number is tied to the number of first doses, which raised quickly and then leveled out. Second doses will do the same, and that line will not grow exponentially. They can't go up faster than the number of first doses. However, since the number of first doses has dropped, the trajectory of that plot will shallow in 10 weeks or so.

And then if supply remains the same, the volume of second doses will drop off dramatically, and first doses will shoot up again. Assuming we don't get to a point of limitless supply I guess we will have 2 or 3 cycles like this till everyone is fully vaccinated.

Disappointing but not totally unexpected news as even seasonal flu needs new vaccines each year for some cohorts.

Just had first AZ dose. As I am a terrible hypochondriac I am not looking forward to the next 48 hours.
My wife even less so as she’ll have to deal with me.

It'll be fine. In my experience, consistent consumption of large quantities of Italian red wine completely prevents any adverse side effects.

I don’t drink, so not an option.

Ah. Well, in that case, good luck and plenty of paracetamol.

In the absence of alcohol being an option, I can recommend crack for passing the time and making you feel well.

I had a bit of a headache and felt a bit out of it the next day, and completely fine the day after. Fingers crossed it won't hit you too hard. I think perceptions of this are skewed by people with severe side effect talking about it more (naturally).

You really want to get the translation and read everything after ‘ > 3 Tage .... ‘ then.

I got my shot on Saturday, didn't feel anything for the rest of the day but was wiped out on Sunday with a mild fever and body aches no headache though. Fine again today but can still a dull pain where the needle went in.

Take premptive paracetamol

But don't take Panadol just before going to bed. They contain fucktons of caffeine. Don't ask how I know this.

I'm sure I once heard some nonsense about always reading the packet first. Maybe even the little folded leaflet in the box too. Although if you do that in the shop/pharmacy you get some really evil looks.

The actifast and extra ones have caffeine iirc.

Probably from the same sort of psychotic lunatic who reads instruction manuals rather than just lobbing them in the bin and winging it.

I thought it was common knowledge that a lot of analgesics contain caffeine? It's the because it can increase absorption / efficacy, and is a pretty effective analgesic itself.

I took Anadin and had no problem falling asleep

just chase it down with a yard of Malibu, you'll be out like a light.

May well be. News to me though!

Coca Cola and paracetamol works great for hangovers when you have to go to work after.
-

Your an analgesic

I rely on High5 Zero Plus caffeine tabs. 4 of them, and your hangover is deferred for a few hours. It's still there, ready to pounce, but it gives you a few hours breathing space.

Irn bru works better than modern coke.
Seems there are vastly different reactions when I mentioned to another member who wanted to be vaccinates that they could try turning up at a vaccine centre at the end of the day to use up any unused vaccine.
