  • Even though I'm not sure it was 100% the right way here.

It isn't, but you're done a damned superb job on it mate. Looks rad.

  • Can’t wait to see it completed & ridden, big yourself up for powering through the snags!

  • Bit late to the party but this is looking great. You're more disciplined than me waiting for dust caps before test riding!

  • Well otherwise the front wheel doesn’t fit. So it’s a good reason to force patience.

    But it should arrive today.

  • Ah understood, I thought you meant one of these.

  • Haha, nope. I would test ride it without a saddle in this moment. :D

They didn't arrive though. So some more days to wait. But my new Paria Bibs arrived, so at least I'll have a fresh one.

  • Well, it looks like everything was totally worth it. I'm celebrating christmas right now.

Had no time for a complete shooting and there's still a bit to do but the first test ride ist done and i got at least a few pictures!

    To do:

-Replacing bar tape. I fucked up and I think i want some beige, woven ones to give it a little bit of a south american touch. It's just to black in front.

-Maybe I need a longer stem. I miscalculated reach a little bit. Maybe it's good for the handling, though. Think I would fancy a silver simworks one.

-Properly bleeding the brakes, I had to shorten them and unfortunately it didn't quite work out perfect. Need to get some Dot 5.1 though.

-Getting myself a front rack and some bags. I think for the front rack, I like the Velo Orange one. Other ideas? Not too big, silver and not suuuuper expensive.

But let's get to the exciting part:

  • Looks superb. Well done for persevering with this. Worth it in the end.

  • Track cranks on gravel bike. Good.

  • It’s Road DA7400 2x.

  • looks excellent

  • Super! You must be satisfied after all that effort. It was worth it if you see the end result.

  • This is so good! Glad you persevered, enjoy riding it.

Would like to see pics with woven bar tape as well.

  • Thank you! I just ordered some BLB Arrow Cream. Current is also BLB and I'm happy with quality from what I can tell.

  • Looks real nice. Glad you got past the issues you were having.

  • Yeah looks amazing. You got there in the end!

  • That's amazing.

  • This looks really good, hope you're happy with it! And satisfied that your technical knowledge of this bike is now perfect...

  • No real time so just a phone snap but here it’s with the new tape. Really makes it special for me now.

  • I thought for a moment you put njs cranks on a gravel bike. enjoy.

  • This looks so good, silver stem will definitely put the cherry on top!

  • I thought I would hate that, but I do not!

  • Looks ace!

  • Just read through the whole thread from start to finish, well done persevering with all of the issues!
Looks a great build and well worth the hassle!

  • Thank you!

But finish? Is a bike really finished at some point? 😂

The Sail cloth I was supposed to get was totally destroyed. So I’m now looking for ready bags. Not sure If I go restrap. I like the design from kaiventure but buying all the way from the USA? Might more or less copy their design which fits my bar Tape with some X-Pac cloth.

Also im not sure if I still want the Velo Orange frontrack or if I just stick to a bar roll. Thoughts?

Is there a light system which works with permanently installed lights but take a battery? Otherwise I need to see if I can work something out. With a connection port under the saddle or something.
