  • Hot!

  • Nice nice nice

  • It took a while but I've done my first ride with the Nerissimo frame. All components are transferred from the DSC to the Dedacciai, so this will be my main road bike for now. Compared to the steel frame it's a little less comfortable but ride quality is still good. Weight is slightly less of course, I measured 7.8 kg without bar tape. The position on the bike needs fine tuning as the current stem is too long and the seat too high. I'm aware the bar tape and cable ends are missing but I couldn't wait too take some pictures. And I will renew all cables soon when the position is correct (and I might buy some integrated carbon handlebars)

  • Front rack on the Rock Hopper?

  • A Cube rfr, quite small and not for heavy loads - but very affordable

  • Some bdhu will reduce the reach if that's what you're after?

    Bike is HOT !!

  • Looks super fast

  • Looks rapid stood still - really good looking build and a lesser seen frameset to boot.

Regarding cabling, you might find crossing the gear cables between bars and DT stays, then back over along the downtube to route correctly makes for neater curves and less chance of rubbing the headtube. This thread on Weight Weenies sheds some light on the matter, found it useful when I was at the same point as you dialling in fit/shifter position (picture of the red Trek/owner Calnago's explanation):

I did it on my Ridley (oddly located stops and internal routing) with Chorus 11 -speed and it runs nicely.

  • Thanks all!

Good advice @Josē, I was a bit struggling how to do the cabling, the suggestion you mention is way better I think.

It seems a bit odd to me the rear brake cable enters the top tube on the right side of the frame, now the cable has quite a sharp bend going from the right side of the bars to this cable stop. Any ideas on this?

  • No problem! Yeah that's strange, most frames route nicely with LH front/RH rear so as a Brit I've reversed my brakes from the norm to suit the frames I have. You could reverse the lever/cable setup and route the rear cable round the head tube from the LH lever, or keep it as is and a small piece of clear frame protector tape where it touches.

  • N+1 results up to now

  • Quite the collection sir! That Dedacciai looks absolutely fabolous.
What are the plans with the Jan Janssen?

  • What bars are on the rockhopper?

  • Which ones, the bended versions?

  • Thanks, for a long time I didn't know what to do with the JJ because the paint is in a pretty bad condition irl so the bike is not worth a proper restauration. Very recent plans are to make a nice weather cruiser, I actually ordered a flat bar and basket this week

  • Sad to hear about the paint job, but seems like a solid plan!

  • luckily it has cromor tubing so no rust

    Bars and basket fitted

  • What are the black cables coming out of the brake levers...?!
