thx!
I first need to figure out how to remove the bottom bracket, than order small campa parts to complete the groupset and after that thinkering about what way to go on colours (saddle, bar tape, tires)
In the mean time these two bikes popped up for sale nearby.. at very good prices. 40e Specialized Rockhopper and a 70e future personal city bike Scott XC. Talking bout the Scott, it's heavy, the wheels are shite as all the rest of the components but man I'm happy with the thing. And somehow it rides really well. Long term plans are better brakes, front basket, bigger tires, new mudguards (in random order).
gazelli Giro is sold before I even could test ride it

This week the chainring for the bafang arrived so today I put it onto the bike. Also modified the chainguard so it still can be used and that was pretty it, fully functional now. Only thing I still want to do is make a decent cable routing, not sure about drilling the frame but more thinking in the direction of stick on cable retainers like below. And already ordered spiral wrap for keeping the cables together.

It's been a while but the Rockhopper was finished and sold last week. So new pictures:

Whats going on with the fork? It looks compressed
-

Sharp eye! I just measured it and it's 10 cm, same as the 29 Reba so I think it should be allright

Changed the headset of the Gazelle just to discover the fork tube is too short for this type..
and I guess I need a long reach rear brake because the current one isn't working
A compensating easier project, just waiting for a new chain and some tape:

Last week this nice frameset from @tmevans arrived. It took a while to get it passed customs but in the end it showed up in good condition and without any extra costs. First challenge is too remove the crankset, the thread in the crank is worn. Once this is solved the idea is to build it with the components of the DSC steel bike

That's really cool

thanks! Jan was very patient with my inability to comprehend customs forms. This bike was my favourite ever bike despite some tough competition (a 5.9 madone sl and a ridley damocles). I swapped it for a condor italia (also made by Deda) and a BTwin carbon from here. I don’t expect either to be better but hopefully they’ll be different in ways that suit my needs

More a lack of commitment and communication from customs but all is well that ends well.
The tools I bought to remove the crankset didn't do the job so I took the frame to work yesterday. Results:

I'm totally ok with glossy paint instead of matte, so yesterday evening I took out the polishing machine
