+1 for Morrisons own brand in the glass jar

I'm an addict. Literally eat the stuff every day. Below was over the course of one semester I believe. For me there's only Calvé. Those are two pound jars...

Welcome Nederlanders! Always liked that it was called peanut cheese when I lived over there.
Is almond butter a thing in NL? Do you call it almond cheese?

I'm afraid we call it the same, but that does sound delicious.

Another vote for Meridian crunchy. Kilo tubs, it's just p nuts ground up. What more do you need? Can get it in Sainscos* now, about six pahnds fifty a tub.
*Other evil corporate supermarkets are available and they prob'ly all sell it, but it does make it more accessible -

The myprotein PBs are nice, no palm oil and super good value when on sale. Something like £4-5 for a KG!

People who buy anything other than meridian have little self respect imo, has the perfect oil balance.
If you're buying PB with sugar in, in the year of 2020, have a word. Are you a small child or looking for a Nutella replacement?

Thick granary toast with a deck of crunchy peanut butter, Nutella and sliced bananas. Champion.
Same thing in a white bread sandwich done as a butter fried toastie.
Yeah, I don’t know how I’m still alive either!

Whole Earth is lovely, much disappoint that my local Sainsbury’s had sold out during my weekly shop on Monday. But they did have this - great with some home-made bread (note nicely maturing sourdough starter)

Nutella
Time for a chocolate spread thread. And to be clear, Nutella has no place there.

This. Comes in 1kg paint tins.

Came in to post this! I got one the other day which seemed like a much darker roast and was a lot better than normal but when I opened my next tub it was back to normal. I was disappointed.
My favourite ways to eat peanut butter are on toast with banana and honey or spooned into a split in half date and crammed in my mouth before it spills out the side.

Manilife is the best.
I have tested many...

This sort of snobbery has no place in this thread.
Unnecessarily sweet PBJ sandwiches are a thing of joy to be held in the same nostalgic glory as grilled cheese, mac and cheese and oreos and milk.
If you think you're too grown up for something, you've gone wrong. -

It is all about the childhood experience.

Exactly. Needs cheap white bread too.
I might buy these things on way home tomorrow...
The debate about which jelly to use though. -

Manilife is the best.
Preach.

For my full rankings:
Manilife OG- perfect 10, its sweet, nutty and salty and so rounded umami
Manilife deep roast- 8/10, not your everyday PB, but amazing in small occasional doses
Koeze nut- 7/10 tasty but lacking punch
Smunchy Yorkshire- 8/10 possibly the only Pb to hold a candle to manilife
Jackpot- raspberry- one of the best goobers around 7.5/10
Jackpot- wasabi- 6/10 - has its place but its not a go to. Great with celery
Myprotein- good for baking, nothing else-4/10
Bulkpowders- bit more flavour- 5/10
Sainsburys whole nut- good at a pinch 6/10
Meridian- too oily, lacking in textural aspect- 6.5/10
Jackpot -regular- pretty decent all round flavour, missing the high notes of manilife 7.5/10
Marmite- not a consistent winner but I do love it when I love it- not as good as if you just mix your own- 6/10
I'm sure I have more to come. -

1x Marmite PB, banana and honey and 1x Marmite PB and cheese are my go to audax/day ride snacks. Perfect hit of salt, sugar and carbs.

Half way through this. Bitter and disappointing. Nothing like the delicious, sweet guilt of hazelnut milk in tea.

Shit the bed. Just learnt of the existence of pistachio butter. What that, like £50 a kilo?
Butter, no doubt. And I'm Dutch, I know what I'm talking about.*
(Better half is also Dutch and prefers it without butter, she does not know what she's talking about.)
