  • Yes - good thread! Love your Dolan.

He’s not on here but you should all check out stu_86 on Instagram. He’s just finished fabricating this, a fixed drop bar thing that’ll have clearance for 2.2’s. Should be fitting for this thread once built up.

  • Haha I was gonna message you or Stu and ask for his library of fixed gear off road bikes, he alone could flesh this thread out nicely!

  • Giving the people what they want! This has the potential to become my favorite thread

  • Would be 5 pages worth at least, haha!

Dirty Reiver fixed was well good.

  • Traipsing through the Edinburgh lots assortment of steamrollers and various other bikes for this thread was going to be a primary source of material for this thread!

  • Neat! What is the white range for Montana?

  • dave nice tour divide bike

  • It’s like a cheaper range I think.

Normal pressure cans. Not sure if the colour range is the same or what.

  • My old steamroller. Don't have it anymore sadly.

  • A few of mine that saw trail duty over the years. Fixed offroad is an outstanding good time.

  • This was really good fun.

  • This was a few years earlier, photo taken on what I think was a 5mp camera

  • Cheers - it's an old BLB Track frame that I've filed the seat stay bridge down just enough to get a larger tyre in, teamed with a Temple Cycles Adventure Disc fork. Needs a matching wheel set and probably cut the bridge out.

Think this might be my new fave thread

  • Nice! I love little changes like that to get a frame to do something completely different.

  • This is my take of this concept. I installed 35mm gravel king after this picture but thanks to Corona virus i rode it 0 meter :(

  • I can get behind this thread. From a few years ago. This was way more fun than it had any right to be. Skidding was hilarious fun, but rinsed rubber.

  • My All City Big Block with 32c slightly knobbly tyres is great off road

  • I have my old steel CX frame with a snapped fork. I have pretty much everything else to build up a SSCX / fixed frame... just need a cheap 1” threaded CX fork. Oh, and the desire to ride a fixed ‘cross bike. One day maybe.

  • I'm also on the lookout for a cheap threaded 1 inch CX fork! I think good luck to both of us to be honest

  • They're not "nice" steel or anything but there's plenty of Dutch-style bikes with 1" headsets, good clearance and canti/V brakes which could be a donor

  • What exactly do you mean? Could you show me an example?

  • Genesis Day One fixed conversion, 38c tyres and luggage box.
    Loves dirt, hence never clean.

  • This monstrosity is mine

  • This kind of bike. If you look in some bike recycling places they might have a similar fork sat around. Usually will clear 30+mm easily and have a massive steerer that can be chopped down.

Sand down, spray it black, no one will give it a second glance. But it'll weigh a ton and be made from cheap steel.
