I guess not, but the alternative is crossing your left arm across your chest = bad posture.

I do.
Usually you've clicked on the cells already, or use F5 to enter them.
Although my colleague alternates his mousehand half way through the day, so presumably all ambimousetrous use their left hand when numberpading.
I go back and forth on getting a nice small mechanical keyboard, but honestly I like having the numberpad. The laptop I'm using WFH has one, and I notice the lack of one on my personal one.

Nice one cheers, I was just about shell out on the Apple space grey magic one to go with new mac mini but never really liked them so might have a pop on one of these. Used to like transparent Apple mechanical one I had until viewing all the crumbs and pubic hair entombed in it became too much...

this would go really well with it. I'm loving it the more I type with it. Maybe the blues* are a bit clicky, but I could always swap for browns. 1yr old son loves the RGB too 😂
*certainly don't get blues if you dont think you'll like clicky keys.. plenty of sound test vids on youtube

Many a keyboard warrior has boasted of a mighty organ, few have ever been seen in action.

well.. another weird money pit i find myself attracted to.. in the spirit of not doing anything the easy way, here's my mechanical keyboard project.
got myself some nice old terminal keyboards as they are colourful and the keycaps are double/triple shot.
since there are no interesting/colourful hungarian keycaps, i also got an electronic typewriter with hungarian layout. i harvested the caps and did a mockup.
went to ebay and bought an old chicony board for the mx blue switches
and made a drawing to 3d print adaptors for the typewriter keycaps. unfortunately the printer is in vienna, so this is halted until the virus finally buggers off.

Ah, thought you were left-handed and was wondering why you'd get the numpad on the left side then.
@hugo7 interesting. I mostly use the mouse with my left hand and actually use my right hand for the numpad all the time (even the ~10% of times I'm using it for the mouse as well, which is quite cumbersome for cad stuff).

something really zen about that. how do you find not having dedicated arrow keys? I've only had my K2 half a day and already I feel familiar with it.

I remapped bottom rhs keys to be LDUR respectively. The software on this (despite being buggy as hell) is really useful for mapping the different layers

Took some getting use to but I now can't use anything else!

I've seen the geeks in the office using these bad boys, they look great, are they of benefit only to developers, or would you recommend an MS Office monkey like me getting one?
And once I've bought one, I'll be buying an RC car courtesy of the equally intriguing Tamyia thread

Must stop delving into the intriguingly niche threads on this forum and finding myself lusting after something I didn't know existed and that I definitely don't need.
