Bolsonaro saying Brazil needs to stop being a nation of poofs ('maricas', let me know if there's a better 'derogatory term for gay men' in English) and people should 'meet the virus with a bare chest' which I assume means head on rather than naked but who knows.

Bolsonaro clearly hasn't been to XXL on bear night.

Meet this respiratory disease bare chested, sounds like a UK Govt line.

My mates phoned me from the pub yesterday trying to get me to join them. It's having work done, so they've sectioned a bit off to use for secret lock-ins.

shouldn't this be the time to see if the lockdown
is working?
It is reported that it’s likely due to the government announcing it on Saturday then lockdown on Thursday that people are trying to get their last freedom/eat out/etc. before the inevitable.

we had slightly slower timelines for a positive test. so slow in fact that it only worked out as one day of isolation from test date. no t&t or follow up call from ONS curiously.

Bit OTT if you ask me. Won't last 5 minutes once the locals who use it get wind of this.
Unlimited access to swings, slides, & climbing frames remains though.

It's not that sweet, but has been used a few times, mainly for beginners intro sessions and the like.

Don't know what it is about Ruskin park but you’d think it’s magically Covid free (ironically, it’s 20 meters from Kings College Hospital and their Covid ward).
Didn’t manage a picture of a group of 14 Latino men blaring salsa and boozing, all huddled under a roof.
I wonder how many people see them and just decide ‘they’re right, fuck it’. I also wonder how much damage Pfizer’s vaccine announcement has caused around the world.

Not Westminster's new strategy to combat obesity, but another contribution to the 2020 Covid 19 Chrimbo calendar. June, Lockdown 1, Hyde Park 2020.

A friend of mine has tested positive for Covid and has had symptoms for five days and is posting photos of herself out and about going for walks in her local woods.
She doesn't drive so must have either cycled there or got a taxi. Really not cool.

Thats seriously irresponsible!

TBF, the government did says it ok to go out for 10 minutes while wearing a mask at night time making sure no one about.
Least, that what Dido Harding says for those who self isolated.

Starting to get really bored of this shit now, kind of enjoyed the last lockdown with the nice weather but this is getting depressing. I don’t cope too well being stuck inside all the time, especially after loads of coffee.

Crazy how just a walk or a run to let off some steam is all I need to keep relatively level headed and without it my mental state deteriorates quickly.
Edit: This rant is definitely inspired by the weather in Manchester, so dark and grim.

I hear you Jimm. Run in the rain man. I know it's grim but it's better than staying in forever.
My hip / groin really don't want we to run but I am currently nursing it through the weather because I'll get very claustrophobic otherwise.

I’m isolating unfortunately, haven’t been able to find out if my second negative test trumps the first ONS positive so playing it safe. Sun is shining now!

Ah soz. I should read more carefully. I isolated cos of contact with a plague type a couple of weeks ago and yeah... proper depressing. Caveat (I went for a run or two while isolating) *awaits pile on.
Taken from a cohort of 25,000 patients described here:
ISARIC May COVID report
“Any other” includes stuff like muscle pain, confusion, vomiting, diarrhoea.
This is only for patients admitted to hospital though, not milder community cases.
