This is the Sunday Times’s Insight investigation published last week.
Boris Johnson’s delay in imposing measures saw cases rise from 200,000 on March 14 to 1.5 million on March 23 as the Government deliberated on the timing and scale of the lockdown.
It’s behind a paywall :(
Are there links in there to the relevant Oxford and Imperial studies? Can anyone please copypasta them out?

A different take and not one that I necessarily agree with, but we need to explore outside our echo chambers every now and again

The FT keeping a running commentary on what they estimate the current figures to be:

We do, but the vast majority of them make the same fundamental error. They note that things haven't been as bad as the doomsday scenarios, and argue that we don't and didn't need lockdown because the numbers aren't so bad. Singularly ignoring the impact that the lockdown has had on those figures. It's a hollow argument. And anyone invoking the Churchillian spirit is, frankly, a total dick.

I don't find his bio giving me a huge amount of confidence in his expertise to be writing that article even if I agree with some of the points. Appears to be an asset manager with a degree in English Literature

I tested Negative. Who wants to come and lick me before I go to Tesco later and nullify the test?

Jeremy Hunt says Cummings did break rules, but shouldn't have to go. At least they're starting to be explicit about the rules not applying to them.

My antibody test arrives tomorrow.

Which one did you buy?
I only ask because I have the Abbott one and getting the 6ml of blood they require is intense! I've gone through the 3 lancets they supplied then resorted to a kitchen knife. Still only on about 3ml. My fingers are a mess and I'm traumatised!

What

Hmm, it's the Abbott one, an I may now hide from it behind the sofa.

Peston's question went down like a lead ballon. Only one question not related to Cummings, not great for the briefing.

Ha, well, perhaps they shouldn't have sold any to Superdrug, then ...

In other news, the Tories are revolting.

^^ Presume this has been posted:
Hah! Anyone (preferably with some training) fancy taking a sample of my venous blood from a 2m distance? I promise to cover my mouth if I feel a cough coming on.

6ml is a lot of blood! I've got some sterile needles and syringes but they're thin gauge and only 1ml capacity. Would take a while!
-
• #13670
Surely you could just stand at a 2m oche, then throw six of them into my arm in a neat line, which I could then squirt into my test pot?

Have Vallance and Whitty refused to do the press conferences?

Abbott: yeah it kinda needs to be like that scene from The Shining but with more blood

Worth a shot!

I would actually rather wait to get a proper blood sample taken in accordance with what Abbott wants for the test to be valid. How can I get a sample without endangering anyone?
I was not aware of the phrase "Duper's delight" but his snigger as he left the desk seems to meet the standard.
