Surely Mrs Gove has some more dirt on Bojo to threaten him with.

Won't change a thing but interesting nonetheless.

as people drop out their supports either got to Grove or Hunt and Boris is stopped because his colleagues actually know him.

Some of the runners are only their to leverage good jobs in the next cabinet, the picture will become clearer as they drop out and back others. Johnson may not get on the ballot.

Interesting to see the pact to keep the contest 'clean' that Raab has been promoting. Clearly intended to undermine Johnson's likely use of 'wedge politics' (which is Crosby's key tactic).

Been noticing that too.
Also here's a refreshingly balanced and quite interesting article about Gove.

He can't load a dishwasher and took his driving test seven times...
put another way; six out of seven driving instructors consider that Micheal Gove is a danger to the British public when put in charge of simple machinery

Imagine actually being the biggest cunt in a Tory leadership contest. That's really quite an achievement.
(Context: Dominic Raab's suggestion that secondary schools should be run for profit)

Rory Stewart seems like the kind of jolly nice chap you could have lots of conversations about policy with without either of you getting too angry, but you'd also never really be able to forget that he's also voted for the bedroom tax, military intervention, and tax cuts for the rich.
Britain under Stewart would be quite nice as long as you were happy knowing your place.

I think Raab is truly quite worrying.

So, apparently the promise not to use dirty tricks (seemingly being equivocated with personal attacks) is itself a dirty trick (because Johnson wasn't approached about it).
Why have people stopped doing politics in favour of re-enacting 'Yes, Minister'-style scripts?

Following Sajid saying he wouldn't allow Scotland to have a second independence referendum:

#PermissionfromSajid started trending on Twitter last night as the Scots in typical fashion started trolling with permission requests.

I don’t see how this ends up being anyone but Boris.
As someone said upthread after the IDS disaster the Tories fixed it so the members never got to choose again. The MPs narrow it down to two, then the members get to vote. Most of the MPs don't like Boris either. He could well get knocked out before the final two.

In a park! Real political Partridge that. I think he's too sensible to make it, even if he made it down to the final two the swivel-eyed loons wouldn't vote for him.

Seriously though I think the racists are OK with posh Scottish. Stewart has many worries but I don't think he needs to worry on that front.

I think in the current febrile atmosphere it’s a step too far, but we’ll see
I don’t see how this ends up being anyone but Boris.
I wish we had forum polls so I could digitally commit to that.
