Taking on Farage shows how little Musk is actually aware of British politics though.
If Reform somehow got rid of Farage (and I'm not sure they actually can) then he'd just piss off elsewhere, set up a new party and fillet reform of its support.

Reform cannot get rid of Farage. He is Reform. He owns it. That's how he was able to just replace Tice so easily right?

These right wing fuckwits have spent so long denigrating expertise, they've forgotten their strategic reasons for doing it!
Just imagine how much intelligence a bloke in Musk's position could gather... But he's rich as fuck so no-one can tell him shit. What a genius!

if i were tesla and space ex share holders i'd be pissed he's spending so much time on non ceo activity and tweeting 100 times a day. i wonder if the boards of those companies could oust him in the coming months for dereliction of duty. i'm sure many ceo's could do a better job running those companies and probably without the need for a $56,000,000,000 renumeration package.
musk out ! let him concentrate on running his shitty little social media company into the ground.

It seems inevitable that he's going to have a big falling out with Trump at some point and he might not be in a good position when that happens.
He's burnt so many bridges to get into MAGA, once he's out he'll maybe be a bit stranded, especially risky given his companies apprently rely on subsidies so much.

I thought Electric Car Guy was a weird fit for the Trumpkin set, but come to think of it the red hats are an even weirder fit for Tesla's brand identity.
Hopefully the Tesla name has lost a lot of its shine for a lot of folks.
-
• #1333
Apparently people are buying stickers for their Teslas proclaiming they bought it before Musk went MAGA

I can't help but look at anyone with a Tesla as a Musk fanboy/MAGA loon/shitcunt.

Well, he's got an British Grand mother, so he could come here and take over Reform UK.

There were loads of people who were happy to buy a Tesla when he was just the guy with the ‘move fast and break things’ approach to rocket science, who was interested in engineering our way out of climate change. I don’t have any data, but I imagine somewhat fewer are interested in implicitly endorsing fascism.

Is he not aware and just trolling? It gets them both plenty of media attention. Success.

Is this widely known? It's old news from 2018. But new news to me: "Elon Musk's estranged father has had a baby with his own stepdaughter who is 42 years his junior" https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/truth-behind-the-feud-elon-musks-dad-72-had-son-with-stepdaughter-30/RDL73FSFWZWB3EPD43P4KVWP2Y/

Yeah pretty well known imo

I think Trump will continue to use Elon as a chaos agent, floating balloons to see how much further right they can shift the Overton window, and administering the occasional slap down, all while bleeding him financially. He’s following the Putin model, and he only started defenestrating Billionaires when they crossed him politically (see Khordokovsky et al.)
No doubt he is ruthless enough to jettison Musk, but he won’t do it until he has solidified his grip on power and extracted a lot more dough from him. ETTD….

Yep, father groomed stepdaughter, needs an independent inquiry NOW.
(Elon, am I doing this right?)
-
• #1343
I think you're giving everyone too much credit.
Musk is a billionaire who controls Twitter. That's why he's around. If he takes too much limelight or outlives his usefulness he'll be gone.

Didn’t take a picture but saw a sticker to that effect in Essex today, they’ve been around for a month or so I think
-
• #1345
They are generally cunts anyway, the sticker makes little difference.

Oh absolutely. My workshop neighbour was an early Tesla buyer, dabbles in solar/3d print/automotive design stuff as a way to spend his ill-gotten tech bro money. In the 4+ years I’ve known the guy he’s never actually finished a project or sold anything, having a fully equipped workshop is just a big game to him.
He’s hands down one of the biggest pricks I’ve ever met in my life. Has ripped off everyone in his life then pleads poverty constantly. He’s exactly the sort of person that would try and mitigate being a cunt by buying a sticker. Although he’s too cheap to do that and would probably rather spend a week building a printer/writing software to make his own better sticker…

he’s never actually finished a project
Many of us here feel seen, surely.

• #1348
It's not blue is it? That is scarily close to someone I know!
-
• #1349
There was a Tesla at work with a Toyota badge on it. I’ll try to sneak a pic if it’s there tomorrow.

Ha! Except: 'a' project? And the rest
Probably, sadly. Musk turning on Farage is a brief bit of merriment for us before the dhitshow begins.
