I just bought a couple of the new Camelbak Podiums and they are too skinny for all the wire cages I have.
Disappointing.
-
• #378
Oh I see... I though you had a choice of different sizes or sth... shame. Well guess we have to design you a BRP bottle cage?
-
• #379
It's frustrating given that standard bidon measurements are hardly a secret.

Could you turn a profit on custom Spesh purist bottles?

I have a problem with the way specialized have treated certain people in the cycling industry/community over the years.
Sorry. -

I have to admit I was sort of in the same position as the people asking the question "why would I just give this guy money?" when I first saw this thread.
Having read through it and seen everyone's support for you I've completely come around, you must have done something right to have this many people backing you and digging into their own pockets to help you out! I'm not in a position to donate myself at the moment but best of luck to you, your work looks amazing. Also, if you're not already set up with a printer for shirts/ hoodies, I'd highly recommend Vino Sangre in Norwich. Unbelievable hand screen printing at a really affordable price.

Elite also do custom bottles these days if that's of any help @Black_Rainbow_Project

I need a new hoodie - winter is coming. Have cash. No Gildan pls.

I guess I did a few things right, but also plenty wrong.
I'm just grateful that there are still a few people out there who are prepared to give someone a second/third chance, whether they know them or not.
Hopefully the products that come out of the other side of this will add something to the lives of those who buy them.
I'm genuinely excited myself to see them taking shape as it's a big leap of faith to invest so much of yourself into something. -

+1 to both the Ts and hoodies lists....

With regards to the printing etc... I've been using the same guy for years. He's also involved in the cycling/courier community, so I like taking my business to him.
The bottles extra was talking about btw were the aluminium bottles I did a run of previously, rather than regular cycling bidons.

I'll post the tees/hoodies list in a classifieds ad tonight.

• #389
What's the story with the hoodies - are they thick and premium?
-
• #390
The old ones were Gildan Heavy Blend, real nice.
-
• #391
Yeah they've all been Gildan heavy...
I'm actually tempted to go with Gildan 'dryblend' this time though, which is thicker still. I have another dryblend hoodie and it's so thick and comfy. Might be better with winter coming up. Just not sure they offer a zipped version of the dryblend. -
• #392
Just checked and it looks like they offer dryblend in both zip and pullover.
Another benefit of dryblend is better wicking properties. -
• #393
Looks like they made a zip one, it's another question if your guy can get them in stock.

Literally just messaged him to ask. :)

gildan sleeves are well short...
-
• #396
Always been fine for me.
-
• #398
they're fine for anyone under 7 foot tall
-
• #399
Assuming that @pedrito is going to buy one seeing as hes made such a godawful racket...

A noise was made, lets not feed the attention seeker.
It's the same manufacturer...this was to be their new bottle.
