That looks like a party , and yep my IF feels very special . I should have bought that ti planet cross on the forum a few months back , as I love cross bikes but really could not justify it .

They are great bikes. I had a chance to pick up a Ti special a few years ago. Even if it was 26 I still kick my self for not grabbing it.

Just make sure to pull your seatpost every few months!

I've been contemplating cold bluing a frame but from what I've read it wouldn't offer the rust proofing you'd need on a bike. Will the track bike be for actual track use only? Or do you think the finish will suffice for outside use?

I decided not to after reading the description under this picture.

It won’t offer much rust proofing. Even with a shotgun you need to apply oil or wax. I’m probably going to have it clear coated. I toyed with the idea of just waxing it, but even for a Sunday bike that might be too much work.

I have a similar looking GT. I chose not to do anything and just skip the project.
Not worth going through the trouble if the rest of the bike is like that or close to

It’s the Geekhouse. All the other tubes seem fine, I’m guessing it’s salt spray from the wheel as it’s only on the back of the seat tube. When Mike cuts it out he’s gonna take a look in the top tube, the downtube is sealed.

Ok. I hope it is salvageable

A for me too, it's better centred than B and less like a logo for an "innovative, youth oriented" company than C.

although I don't really like any of them...
