You can leave Andorra via Port de Cabús and follow it down to LLavorsí. Then take the C13 to Esterri d'Aneu and follow the C147 up to Montgarri and on into the Vall d'Aran. This is is part of the route of Pedals de Foc. When you get to Vielha head to Bossost where you turn for Bagnères-de-Luchon.

I've decided to skip Andorra in the end, I'm sure I'll be just fine, although Port de Cabus looked really tasty.
I've settled for this route in the end, @hippy, @FourGreenFields, @CarlosBI and anyone else that might have any input on what to see along the way or any other tip is more than welcome. Aiming to do it in 8 days, allowing myself 10 days.

Nice right up and the photographs reminded me how amazing the views are. Glad to hear it wasn't just me that struggled up those last hills!

So who's who in this picture? I don't know what anyone looks like, well, apart from hippy and skinny.
-
• #164
Omar di Felice, Sofiane and Ulrich
-
• #165
Ulrich beat Sofiane in the 2VS, Joe Rass-court, UK rider was a DNF in 2VS last year.
I know Brian Canty. I didn't know he was racing this but he's up the field too.

Sofiane (centre) is a robot who barely sleeps and has kept pace with skinny in previous races. Got hit by a car doing TransAm, borrowed a bike and still finished. Dotwatcher are doing updates if you scroll down the page. https://dotwatcher.cc/race/transpyrenees-2021

Ha, I was wondering why everyone was bunched up and not moving:
We are experiencing connectivity problems in Andorra.
All data will be recorded and send [sic] when the riders are back in France or Spain. At first, I thought it might be weather problems, so hope those don't contribute to connectivity issues.

Ooh I didn't know they were going through Andorra this time. Damn it.
Also, far out! Ulrich has found his stride!
-
• #170
Ulrich has a good lead now. I don't know too much about him, sounds like he wins lots of races including this one before. Assume he'll be done before morning.
-
• #171
I think he has won every race he started.
-
• #172
Now including this one.
I think his time went down by 3h from when he won it 2 years ago, but the course is different.
The race for second is on big time, sprint finish or joint gentle roll in?
-
• #173
Only first place finishes on his results on dotwatcher indeed.
He's got a website here. -
• #174
Looks like Omar hanging on for 2nd. Sofiane 3rd.

Those finishes are always so glamorous :)
