Get the canyon if you're not scared of having the same bike of half the club. I really like premium aluminium, if it was me it would be allez sprint, bowman palace r, that purple emonda, Cannondale or kinesis aithein.

Cheers. You’re the first person to suggest Specialized, I thought they would be more popular
The Kinesis looks like good VFM but I think I want something a bit more flash.
I think canyons in the lead

I have a Bowman Palace and an Allez E5 Smartweld frame and they are both better riding frames than a Cervelo S2.
-

Am I right in saying you can only buy a Bowman Palace frameset, and not a complete build?
I think I'd end up spending less on a complete build. If I built a bike up myself then I would try to build it myself which would probably end in disaster

I don't get that fuzzy feeling when I look at Specialized bikes
https://www.evanscycles.com/specialized-allez-sprint-comp-disc-2019-road-bike-EV337901 I'd prefer this if it wasn't that colour

I don't get a fuzzy feeling looking at any bikes. The fuzzy feeling comes from riding them.
-

I like a bit of both

My two pence is the Purple flip Emonda mentioned a few times already: https://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/frames-forks-c6/road-frames-c47/emonda-alr-disc-frameset-2019-p21430/s64660
I saw one in the flesh a few days ago, such a cool finish and really stood out. I couldn't find a link to a complete disc build only to the rim brake version so just linked to the disc frames.

Thanks - that is quite cool but not my taste. Maybe I should stand at some traffic lights somewhere in EC1 during rush hour for some bike spotting

That stock image doesn't really show the finish properly, makes it look a bit naff. The pics below are a better representation

It's purple and that makes it better instantly.
If riding when wet consider something with mudguard mounts.
-

I agree it is rather nice
I'm not too concerned about mudguards, I sweat more than it rains

I see so many of them around, it’s hard to. I think the higher end bikes are really nice (4K tarmac I think). A small step closer to getting my bike today... bit of a bargain really but again, need to see it in the flesh

What have you gone for?

The whole argument about they are boring is boring. Its a bike; a tool. If you want interesting collect japanese whiskeys, become a Tate member etc. Why does one need to prove that they are interesting through their bike choice? Is it because their life is extremely dull outside cycling?
This is the best thing I've read on the forum in years.

Does anyone have an opinion on this ? > https://www.evanscycles.com/cannondale-caadx-105-2019-cyclocross-bike-EV338208
I am quite dull so this only improves it image to me
