I die a little everytime I come to this thread. Not sure why I keep returning.
I'm expecting a Lynchman style turn of events where the two new posters that have dished the dirt are actually old mate himself. -

I'd like to see any proof of the 15 or so people who have bought T-shirts from Walter Mitty here.

I noticed today that Albion Cycling appear to have distanced themselves from this absurdly bumptious fanny, removing all pages from their website about their recent collaboration... including an interview, and even Thom Barnett’s fave techno bangers, the missing #002 under ‘Transmissions’.
Google Albion Mamnick - all of Albion’s links are dead.

I'm off to dinner with Jessica Ennis and Co.
You should share that Diane Abbot tweet with her, I bet she’d find it well funny, and total get that it was a take down of her economic policy.

Can someone photoshop a bobble hat on this bloke. Maybe a kibosh/ Albion logo on the ladies.

Definitely don’t tweet @ her

I noticed the Albion cycling interview yesterday and was pretty disappointed to see an association, it's good to see them distancing themselves from this.

He's at English Institute of Sport dinner according to some guy on Twitter who has posted a selfie with him.

22 pages, that was intense.
Well, congrats, Mamnicked is now on the lips of the cycling communities of The North.

Does this negative association policy get applied to the people that follow the Mamneck instagram? Concerning number of people I know / forumers do.
Time for an intervention?
*edit: this was meant in a tongue in cheek fashion

To be fair I give a lot of people who follow the page on Instagram the benefit of the doubt as he kept most of the unpleasantness to his Twitter but I'd be mentioning it to any friend of mine who was a follower to have a read through this thread and make up their own mind if they want to stick around for his plagiarized Instagram posts.

how do you actually go about affording a custom Field bike
The Field bike is a collaboration so maybe they went 50/50 on all costs.
I messaged Field and made them aware of the thread. They replied: Thanks for the message - I am not a member of the forum . I don’t share some of Thoms views but I do share his love of cycling and well made things. It was the YOMP - your own marching pace sentiment that I could relate to. Hopefully the bike we built and cycling in general will continue to be a positive influence. Ta Harry
I made them aware of the thread. I made them aware they didn’t need to be members to read it.
Therefore they are aware of the thread, the content of the thread and Thom’s contributions.
Bottom line is: they know Thom and his views but don’t share some of them. They relate to yomp and yomping. Are happy with the collaboration.

I was disappointed to see David Millars name on that list, but I’m sure he isn’t aware.

More concerned about @b&d

I wonder at what point they would draw the line.

Its not like he's posted the Diane Abbott meme on there, so it a bit more subtle. Rather too much use of the union jack emoticon for my liking which is a bit of a warning sign for me. But I could have easily clicked follow, if I'd even heard of them before this thread.

Does anyone else find the whole "Yomp" thing teeth-grindingly awful? It's hard to think of a word with less souplesse. Pretty much what you'd expect from someone who uses the phrase "triggered SJWs" unironically.

It’s not really an ongoing collaboration with field is it? I just read it as they’d made him a bike, assumingly at a significant discount because the exposure benefits them, is there much they can do at this point? As far as I’m aware they don’t promote him through their brand in any way.

Apologies but just to be clear. They’ve known each other for years as the connection goes back to art school. They should be well aware of his views and in any case, I would expect so prior to building the bike.
