You pop off the brake calipers when you disassemble instead of disconnecting the hoses!
I did start a build thread for it but I won't give back to it until I have some confirmation I'm going ahead!

Looks like I might have a Christmas miracle after a spectacularly busy and oft times miserable year where I haven't had a chance to finish this (or even ride a bike for the last six months.)
Now I just need to lose enough weight to safegard against death by exploding lightweight carbon fibre parts...

Hell yeah!

Just had a chat with mechanic who strongly advises against Nokon cables for gearing Red22 as there's too much slack in the housing for 11sp gearing.
Going with standard Sram cables for now but looks like bike may be ready to collect this evening!

I'm quite chuffed with it! I'll take some proper pictures of it as soon as the weather clears up a bit!

Looks NANG

The weather has been truly appalling here so I've just taken some snaps in the office but hopefully we'll get a nice clear, sunny day over the Christmas to get it put for a spin and some nice photos. I'm cautious about taking it out for a big spin without a bit of a shakedown on account of the cf chainrings but we'll see how it goes. Still haven't even set saddle height yet.

Never liked the look of -17° stems on sloping frames, -12° S-Works SL stem could also work slammed if you can handle the fit. Quite the banger otherwise, the red TRP's really seem to work!

Yeah, stem not helping the shiting dog look atm.
-
• #193
Agreed. I'll get some kms in and see where I am with fit.

Specialized Pro-Set adjustable shim stem might get the angle right, thought they're not light.
-

Yeah next step will be to dial in the fit and then slam it!

Did actually out for a ride about two months ago. Managed 10km before I had a rear blowout at 57kmh coming into a bend on Vico Road in Dublin. Managed to low side and take brunt of it on my hip while I slid across the road with my bike in the air in front of a deeply stressed looking driver coming towards me... so miraculously the bike was almost entirely unscathed save for a tiny bit of a scratch on the left hand brake lever! My Rapha Climber shoes and Milltag shorts did not come off so favourably...
This photo is actually post crash so it really did come off fine. It was absolutely glorious to ride while it lasted, really properly quick and responsive! I need to get some new tyres glued up and onto it and get back out on it to enjoy some of this glorious weather now! From the extremely brief spin I had on it I reckon I can get away with chopping down the steerer for proper slams too although I'll wait until I've put some more kms on it first...

Glad you and the bike are ok!
Tubulars are brave... -
• #198
I can't help but feel like they may have been a poor decision... Then again I also feel like it's one of those right-of-passage cycling things I just need to get my head around... I've never glued my own tubs before (or even taped them for that matter but that doesn't seem like a sensible thing to do unless you were stuck for a tyre on a raceday or something...
I may have to start keeping an eye out for a replacement set of clinchers...

Supposedly you can ride on flat tubs, but you had a blowout and crashed anyway!
Whats your mid ride puncture solution? -

Whats your mid ride puncture solution?
It was a phonecall to my dutiful fiancee on this occasion!
I think I was probably going too fast on too steep a descent to ride it out unfortunately. I'll have to figure out the whole tubular thing properly though before I get back out on it...
It can’t be easy to have a hydro disc breakaway bike ?
Do you just not disconnect the hoses when you break it down?
