What actually happened to the lever the bike shop kept? You just couldn't be arsed to try get it back from them and they still have it?

also the silver calipers do look really good. Magura are still shit of course.

You can change that in your camera settings:
"Camera," tap "Formats" and pick "most compatible" :)

They gave me a box with my parts in, which didn't actually have all of my parts in, then when I emailed them asking for my £100 lever back in exchange for the random cheap Magura one they'd given me they didn't respond.

If I upload a picture direct from my phone then it's a standard Jpeg, it's only when I upload a photo from my Mac that I took with my phone does it do the stupid thing. I think it's a function of how a Mac handles images?

Scum bags.
I'd suggest getting a gang of lfgss heavies together and go over and threaten to beat them to death with stale baguettes 🥖But I can understand if you don't want to do that.

I've just chalked it up to experience tbh.

What kind of coward reads the manual before using something?

So it's both an air AND coil fork...

Well exactly.

• #3317
Careful with that sticker. It's the only thing holding the air cap on...

I've not read the manual (obvs), how simple is it to dial in 20mm more travel Pete?
-
• #3319
If you have a 13 & 18mm socket, a 22mm spanner and a shock pump, it's easy, with no mess whatsoever
I followed this vid
Remove 2 of the spacers and hey presto, 20mm more travel

That looks straightforward, thanks.

Yeah its very easy but be carefull about over torquing the seal head. If over torqued it can bulge and cause some unnecessary stiction apparently!
From memory you'll need a crow foot wrench end(can't mind what size) if you're going to actually use a torque wrench -
• #3322
I will use a torque wrench, I'm somewhat nerdy about doing so.

Pretty much the same as everyone else. There's a spot in Epping that I always bottom out on if you're intent on doing so.

It’s not a keenly held ambition, tbh. I’m happy (very happy) with how the bike is working now, clearing the little tables that I used to case pretty easily. Is fun.
Just need to get the rear brake saga over with, swap the XT crank to the currently out of stock and on back order XTR and then wash it and take some nice pictures.
My riding is very bar-spin intensive, which of course is a factor to consider
