Did you get banned from bikeradar or something though. You seem like you don't really want to be here and that's where people are most likely to be selling second hand equipment that is far superior to their owners' abilities.

This place is mostly for cutting about on either piece of shit track bikes or exorbitant custom steel builds that exceed the GDP of island economies.

No, I have a bikeradar account, but can't remember password and email (probs will just make a new one) Also it seems there is hardly any new stuff on there.

Basically mate of mine showed me this when i told him i wanted a new frame.
Some guy was selling vision metron carbon wheels at a massive discount. Also found a scott addict for a good price, so put an ad (Putting ad's in loads of places to see what is out there).

I understand this place is mainly for ridiculously expensive and impractical fixie's but people still place stuff for road bike equipment on here.

What I spend my money on is my business, not anyone elses. (Plus £1000 is not a lot to spend on a bike, if your such a messiah on all things chain driven you should know that).

I'm antagonising anyone, except people who antagonise me and comment on my post with about unrelated things. This could have all been avoided if you just didn't comment if you don't have something to sell me. But it seems like you were too proud and when I started calling you out i get comments like you've lived a sheltered life.

Plus this site shows people spending more on single speed bikes then they do cars, so it's far to say the majority of people have lived quite a nice life on here, I certainly can't complain, I've worked hard and lived a fortunate life. But I understand this and don't call other people out on.

With friendly prices people will deffinetley sell and buy quickly. Banter is a plus side opposite to eBay where you actually don't know sellers. Here big chunk of people are friends and meet each other already.
Before criticising maybe get involved a bit in forum and many different topics discussed here not just classified.

@Dawid_Owl Could not agree more. I don't ride fixed gear, but I totally appreciate the art and beauty of bespoke fixed gear bikes, sometimes i do just look at the bike porn section.
But at the same time, you can't expect people to understand all the in jokes and be totally on board, some people aren't as hardcore as others, and that is completely fine.

But i have come on here and just put an ad out to see what was out there, but i'm not going to sit by whilst individuals just waste my time and then get upset when I call them out on their bullshit.
Im sure 99% of people on here are wonderful people, would love meet so many and talk bikes. But you can't expect to grow and get more people involved if you just argue for the sake of it.
What if you turned up at someones house, going to buy a car for example, and just started going in on the guy (or girl) personally. They would tell you to fuck off. Not saying that is exactly what happened here, but i hope you can see why Im a bit pissed off when I get notifications about my ad and instead for genuine sellers, it's fairly sad people who have nothing better to do than just annoy for the sake of it.

Anybody who’s spent any time reading this forum knows it’s a good place to buy and sell if you use your brain.

Full disclosure, that may have been their goal. This is a tight-knit, slightly xenophobic community, they don't take kindly to strangers coming here only for the bargains. Especially not if those strangers can't even take a light-hearted quip about aerial combat.
