  • None of your reasoning thanks. Maybe BrickLink will pick it up? If it reaches 10k. Which it probably won't as it has stalled and doesn't have long left.

  • New Technic motorbike
    BMW 1000rr

    Bit spicy at Ā£175

  • Genius; they only have to change the stickers every year and they can get people to buy the Honda Fireplace, Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha R1 and Kwaker Ninja to add to their collections šŸ™‚

  • TBF that is a bit different from the Duke.

  • bit different from the Duke

Very different and twice as big, but it's still a 21st Century UJM

  • the other 12 speed championsā€¦

Presumably some of the older 6-wide ones as well as the 8-wide Gen2 ones.

    Just built the GTR

  • Mainly new ones, but think the fiesta and F40 are the oldest 2.

Apparently a new set coming out in March including Aston Martins and Lotus.

  • Grabbed an old set from my Parents over Christmas. Instructions have definitely improved over the years! Actually only missing a few pieces. Kids enjoyed making it.

  • Great find, still kicking myself for not getting up into the parents loft this Xmas to dig out the boxes from when I was a kid, think there are quite a few of these castle sets up thereā€¦.. still, something to look forward to next time

  • No one of the creator sets, but it does make a good Scar thinking about it. ;)
The ball joints were something Iā€™ve not come across before and made for an interesting build.

  • Annoyed at myself for not buying the ghostbusters fire house when i could, price is bloody eye watering now.

  • fiesta and F40 are the oldest

    911 is Gen1 too

  • Ah yes. Didnā€™t spot that.

Lots more Gen1 ones I would like to get, but people ask for crazy money.

  • Fire up the Quattro

  • That's one of the better ones.

  • Yeah, it's the one I bought first. Probably also contains most of the parts needed to make a Manta 400 or Ascona 400 if I had the time to work it out. Not convinced by any of the others, so hoping for something good in 2022

  • Ah yes, randomly saw that set in a Swedish department store the next day.

  • And finally the Ferrari

Hoping the rumoured Ferrari 512 is the road Berlinetta Boxer not the earlier race car, more my era and more amenable to brickification at Speed Champions scale. Lamborghini Countach is on the rumour mill too, so the BB would make sense

  • Yep, I have a preference for the road cars over the racers, so with you there on the 512. Sightly disappointed that the Lotus is a modern one rather than a classic.

  • disappointed that the Lotus is a modern one rather than a classic

Yeah, Turbo Esprit would seem the proper choice for both technical and marketing-to-50-year-old-blokes reasons

  • Saw the Titanic in Bluewater Lego today for Ā£569 and sold out ?!?!

  • That was/is one of the best LEGO sets ever, I think. A milestone. I'm biased, though, because of massive nostalgia.

  • Amazing, I thought it would sink without trace in Bluewater.

  • As I am very bored I had a look into the price per brick of different sets, Titanic is actually one of the cheapest, just because it has so many pieces.

    Titanic 6.1p
    BMW M 1000 RR 9.1p
    Friends treehouse 6.2p
    Singapore 6.6p
    Diagon Alley 6.3p
    Dodge Dragster 8.7p
    At-At 10.3p
