You seem more organised than me.
See if you can get a multi charger. Always good to juice multiple things at same time.
-
• #1278
Yeah a multi charger and make sure all your USB cables are fast charging cables. Using shit cables can make it really difficult to charge your devices properly.

fancy a crack at it?
-
• #1280
No doubt it's on the list.

Wish I'd taken time off work to put my feet up on the sofa for a few days. Been really busy and standing up a lot isn't helping!
-
• #1282
That's a thing? I wonder if that's why my powerbank has taken all night and still isn't full. Never really paid attention to how long it takes though.

Adding to the list of failing or failed kit, the USB plug on the Garmin is getting well sketchy - takes a few goes to get it to mount on the PC or charge. I see more phone navigation in my future...

Want to take my etrex?
-
• #1285
yeah definitely. Not sure exactly what governs it but in my experience the quality of the cable really makes a difference.

St Pancras Eurostar Station staff on strike tomorrow. Looks like trains still running though. Might want to take that into account if travelling tomorrow.

I just use the cables that came with the device (powerbank, gps, lights,...).
Got curious and bought me some of those reskin patches skinny talked about. Never spent so much money on my ass: new saddle, saddle pressure test, new Sportful comfy bibs and now these patches.

Same problem with Ryan air flight!

I'm taking my etrex :)
But only as a backup.
I left it out of my kit for TABR but then freaked when my RWGPS didn't work properly which meant I had no backup (actually I had another app on the phone that would work). Three GPS devices for me.

I've had some cables fail, which means I've woken up and nothing has charged but never measured charge rate with selection of them. It's not like that "it sounds better with £100 audiophile cables" marketing ball locks is it? If charge rate was a concern I'd probably move to USB-C stuff

I tried the reskin things earlier this year, made it worse for me they were just something else to create more friction.

Delays for the Chunnel as well. Brexit is going well...

I'm looking forward to dotwatching again. It's exciting having just discovered this thread seeing how thoughts of entering turned into applications and now people getting ready and shipping out.

apparently so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doMHmGatyYc
Easiest solution seems to be getting the shortest cables you can live with
-
• #1295
Yeah, I've already tried to minimise cable length (all that extra weight saved yay me!) but one of the most obvious things that no one seems to be is turn off the device while it's being charged.

Well, my bike is on the way. 24 hours for me. Seemed to be treating everything really carefully.
