OK, hope you have a good ride too! I usually ride the Monday ones J2/1 so might see you there some time soon also.

I hope so. Here's the little schedule I've made

28:18
:|
Not my worst time ever and I've not done serious exercise in 18 months, so lots to improve on there.
The fit and gearing feel OK for now. I'll probably take the cockpit lower at some point...

Good to see you. Disappointed with my time too. I'm blaming the increased CRR of the surface dressing.
First run on that course so plenty of room for improvement, knowing where to push etc.

Steel lo pro isn't quite a Cervelo P4, huh?
10th May: Steel lo-pro, 24-spoke 30mm deep wheels, Cinelli LA84 bars, 27:00 on the H10/2
17th may: Cervelo T3, H3/Disc, Ventus bars, 26:40 on the H10/2@specialist went back 10s from the 10th to the 17th, so the difference might be closer to half a minute :)

I've got a spare 90mm -20degree Deda Pista stem if it's any use?
-
• #183
Yeah sorry I forgot to mention - thanks for saying hi!
I've got 30mm of spacers in there right now, so will drop those gradually. My clip-ons are cracked, so gonna bin those and put on a Giant stem I have from god-knows-where with integrated extensions.

After a bit of research, it seems like I have a PedalSoft Trifecta stem. The Giant extensions in it made me assume it was a Giant unit. I've never heard of them, and the internet's not overflowing with info, but they seem pretty nifty. The extensions are integrated below and the pads above, with a decent amount of adjustment for each, although not height-wise.

That's a) mad design b) pretty cool. How is it riding with them? Looks like the bars are really close together which makes the bike feel too unstable for me

Elbow pad and grip width looks pretty normal

Not sure how it rides because I've not fitted it yet.
Titanium bolts as well!
I've literally ridden with aerobars twice ever. Sunday just gone and Wednesday night. I could wrap my hands together when on the extensions and stability felt ok, but it's all new to me.

I thought the pads looked reasonable but reasoned that you didn't get much leverage off them. Bars look narrow to me but I'm an aerobar noob so maybe they're alright

Just put the finishing touches to this. Gonna do Macc Wheelers' event at Lower Withington on weyds, I think.
The back wheel is quite badly out of true. If you hold the bike up and spin it fast, the whole thing wonks like a bee-atch.

Looks sharp, good luck!
Haven't you got a spoke key?
-
• #191
Spoke key, sure. Time and patience...less! Might try later in the week.

Oh jolly good I'm racing against Sarah Storey.
-
• #193
Think there's a couple of GB coaches there too tonight. GL!
-
• #194
Yeah a few big names that I didn't recognise. 21:40 won it. I came in with a season's best of 28:05.
Onwards!

Nice work!

Managed to fit the new stem with integrated extensions and got a marginally better 27.44 on Frodsham Wheelers' Hatton 10. It's got a few turns, so was happy with that. Apparently I was their first ever fixed entrant.
Chain is still really noisy. I think it might be the interplay of non-new chainring with new chain. And the frame just amplifies everything.
I've already got a little shopping list for when I get better and break 25 mins. Nicer tyres, nicer rear wheel, longer extensions, brake that is cooler than Sora.

Want a track disc?

I want the fucking moon on a stick.
I'm not exactly blessed with cash right now but... go on...

Are you looking for a quick sale? I'm not sure when I'm next in London (and it may be fleeting). Otherwise, postage - she is possible?
Good luck! I'm going to do Seamons because it's that bit nearer and I won't have my car until about 6 tonight. Will hopefully do Westmead in 2 weeks (in Devon next week).
