B. But lose the JE James sticker and all black tub at the front.
-
• #104
I think I can peel the stickers off (had a little pick) but I seriously CBA changing the tub right now.

• #105
Fair points.
Sells the wheels you had before and get a matching Hed rear?
-
• #106
You could pick up a tub Hed3 rear super cheap. Very HHSTTB
-
• #107
Ha this was supposed to be a cheap(skate) build!
The Zipp rear is shared with another bike but I have a Wolber Profil 700c rim to match the Wolber front. Just need an appropriate hub.

Cheap like how cheap? and on the TT forums?
-
• #109
A Specialized one sold for £135 on eBay recently. You need a 20mm tub really (impossible to find) but it'll matter much less on the rear (and it's not like everything else is 110% optimised).
Tub, lack of 11spd compatibility and the fact that it's not a disc means they're not particularly in demand.

Looks real good with that Hed - JE James needs to be removed tho

I'm no expert but this sounds like TT fighting talk

Steel lo pro isn't quite a Cervelo P4, huh?
I've got a NOS gumwall Vittoria Crono you can have super cheap if you go for a Hed3.

I thought you were referring to the rider...
[Now that's, fighting talk!]

Hey, I'm fair game in this thread. Once I post pics of me on the bikes it's open season.
So assuming for the season ahead I'm keeping the rear wheel as-is, I'll go with the HED front. Nice.

Love it. And looking forward to seeing you astride the mighty steel lo pro.

Loving this build, all you need is an Avocet 30 and a Cinelli aero and you can pretend it's 1988 (if only!!!!!!!!) good luck.

Ummmm...
My DT boss is 90 degrees out.

I'm really struggling to get the lever on. Is it possible?
-
• #119
Just rotate lever 90 degrees? Weird.
-
• #120
You can't (with DA 7402 at least) because you need to rotate the boss as well, and it's dished to mate with the tube.
-
• #122
WHO EVEN MAKES BOSSES LIKe THAT?!??!!?!
WHY HAS THIS HAPPENED?!
-
• #123
Could you file it square? Does the shifter require the rounded bit?
-
• #124
I think I (or a better metalworker) could file it square. I could also use the Shimano non-dished boss cover and rotate the lever by 90deg, I think, although this would look rubbish.

Oh hello SJS, I see you sell NOS right-hand Modolo Kronos levers for £7.50. What's that? a 35g plastic coke spoon? No, I don't care if they were famously shit and snapped for everyone, I'll take one.
