Not overly struck on the Guinness pizza, would prefer a colourful one please.

I am not going to read all posts, but can I just ask why you guys are not buying the original one?
Would it not be better to support the person who designed it?

This passed through my head as well. I would think that such a huge group order would be a great thing for the original maker if they were happy to make them.

However, I think if the original is 'inspiration' and more than three points are changed then this becomes more than plagiarism. For example: lfgss lettered pizza-ish triangle is probably far enough off. Nobody has a copyright over the pizza shape afaik, and I would not feel comfortable directly copying another's work anyway.

The number of people on this list overwhelms me; I wonder if the original maker would feel the same.

Also we're not here to make a huge business and become laughing fat cats off this.
We're just some bike fans wanting to make something useful and fun.

Fun thread was fun. Negatrons will be thoroughly sighed at.

Maybe we should get in touch with The Originator, see if he/she is cool with us making summat similar to his/her product, and if not then whether a batch could be made and shipped to us.
I don't mind doing this, even if it's just out of politeness.

I am not here to poo on you all. But I make a living designing and making things and I like people to pay me for what I come up with, be it original or less so.

Even though you are not big business, you all want the original one it seems and you could perhaps make a big difference in that persons life by buying his or her product.

I am not accusing anybody of plagiarism as I can relate to being strongly inspired by other peoples work. But not contacting the designer and asking for permission or offering him/her to buy a big batch is out of order imo.

I’m sure they’d welcome a big order and we could just ask for/add the improved attachment method as suggested by @spotter and cut some lfgss stickers ourselves?
