That almost looks better than that last batch of powder coating you had done!
Color turned out nice and I see that salsa seatclamp 😍

I've also done some tests of stroke direction using BLACK OXIDE.
When sanding tubes I always follow the rotation of the tube as it accentuates the shape, but I've found that I like the paint strokes to be following the length of the tubes instead. This creates a logical conflict when it comes to the fillets. It's minor details but important to me.I'v also experimented with first layer one direction and second layer in another direction. This is probabaly the strongest and most efficient way but it looks a bit weird.

In the same vein, I'm sure you know of Pierre Soulages? The linseed oil reminded me of his etchings, and the black oxide of his paintings.

That red dried up nice and dark, very cool!

Yes, it really is becoming darker and more matte with it curing and more layers being added. It will look stunning with the dark olive green framebag @Tijmenis making me.
I am planning on using orange Ergon GA3s on there and I've ordered some Stayer Alloy rims on orange Hope hubs. Hopefully this will look good together

Photos in this article shows is quite clearly. It was used in a couple of Danish museums back in the day.
It is related to the development of sulfuric acid.
You are gonna have to Google translate the article.

The paint look great. This has made my mind up about painting my forks myself now. I was going to have them blasted and power coated, but the finish and depth of colour with the linseed are so nice.
Did you flat between coats? -
• #6038
I found that it isn't necessary if I just coat really really thin layers.
I am going to write up an article I'll be happy to share when it's done.
We don't know yet how durable it's is going to be mind

I did the cycle thing and wore knee warmers. I have become what I despise.

Are we all not reaching mamil status inevitably?

Some of us have already arrived at that particular destination.

True fax. But the need for knee warmers hurt my soul and selfview

Full length bibs then?

After embedding a narrow wide into my knee cap I now have taken to wearing knee pads even for XC riding. Is that the alternative to knee warmers that you could stomach?
It is clear that the brass fillets are not sucking up as much paint as the steel is. I am showing the semi wet joints here, but the finish is quite nice and smooth when it is all hardened up. I am still excited!
