Finally had some time to start changing my mtb.
I have all the parts and hopefully it will be ridable later today.

I sent off the rando bike for paint (8022 black brown). So it is all timed perfectly as I will need a practical bike for commuting.

You should route it parallel with the top of the bars and at the top part to form a nice flat shelf to rest your palm on when riding.
Try it if you understand what I mean.

I think just route it along the leading edge of the bars to the stem is what @drøn is getting at?

Also can you slow down a bit with the bike builds, you're making everyone else look bad.

On my single speeds, I put in a piece of outer on the other side, but that’s just me.

It certainly comes at a price,
looking at the picture of the cargo and surroundings:
he's now working round the clock in an unheated worshop,
feeding on junk food and soft drinks,
forgot the cargo forks in the bin,
and misled JesperXT's forks .

It is shameful how true that is

So I had my first proper ride today and like I suspected I need to make a limp dick stem for this to work for me.
