Fine actually. They are still ridable and I haven't inflated since I set them up, but also only ridden twice since.
The rims are tubeless tho

The fact they still hold air after a month to me is a very good sign if anything. I have had tl ready tires that didn't even hold air for a couple of days.
I suppose inflating it will be a little more difficult compared to a tubeless specific rim, but tires go on really tight so that is a good thing.

Only time wasted if it doesn't work. Latex is less than £10

Stainless Steel hardware for guards

Nice. Did you make the stainless bits?
-
• #4358
Yes exactly.
Basically these guys sell painted 26" stainless steel mudguards for £12 and 20" for a bit more. And they are wide and a perfect fit for my cargo bike. But the hardware they came with was not nice.Rear mudguard could be a bit longer but it's alright.

Sweet! Do you think a 2.2 tyre would fit?
-
• #4360
Mmmmm sort of. Coverage would not be great. I can show you when I've finished the front.
Edit: Oh wait my front tyre is 2.4" maybe

Thanks!

• #4362
Hot tip. How long is the front guard?
-
• #4363
I'll show you later. Not in my workshop

Get us another couple of full cargo bike shots while you're at it :)
I'm so jealous of it -
• #4365
Nice. What wall thickness is the tubing for the stays? I may well shamelessly rip off your design on one of my bikes!
-
• #4366
6mm solid rod. I'd go for 5mm if hadn't gotten the 6mm for free. I have some 6mm alu I'll use for my wifes bike to keep weight done... Maybe

sure thing boss

I've been looking for these everywhere.
Was on the verge of spending on RH 650b and re-profiling / radiusing to 26"

If you were all to buy 5mm alu or stainless rod and bend the radius yourselves you could get this as well:

Of course but they ain't sexy floating rod style hello fashion.
If you wanna keep it agricultural you can go over to FBNPNA :)
-
• #4373
Ah, interesting. I have 36m of solid 6mm stainless rod available. Should be enough...
-
• #4374
I would not want it on anything that's supposed to go fast. But it makes sense on my big heavy cargo bike

ya ya ya SFRSHF or GTFO ...
Freshtripe seem to have the VO alu stays in black ... praise be
How is your tubeless conversion holding up?
I have some Spinergy Rev X wheels that would be perfect for a tubeless conversion. Unfortunately they are 650c and there a hardly any tires available for that size, let alone tubeless ones.
