Bar type & position was just to simulate a flat transition of compact drops to see if the frame fits. Like I said, the erfostem won't stay on the drops forever since it's destined for the mavic pursuit bars. Once I found the perfect bar position, I'll get a TI stem for the drops.
@drøn i'll try it later and take a photo, can't imagine that it looks good tho. -

Got an 11cm eclipse stem from @gav
for the drop bars and put the ergostem on the mavic bars. I also weighed it and it comes in at 8.4 kg which seems reasonably for a steel bike with starfish cranks and clip pedals. When I drop the cheapo 1/8 chain and get a 3/32 kmc lightweight chain and a lighter rear tyre, it'll get closer to 8kg.

Nice, how’d you make em?
-

Ghetto style, basically. I used a large vinyl-type skateboard sticker with large white parts and roughly traced the letters from the photo of the bike when it had the OG paintjob. Then I corrected the angles a bit to compensate for the round tubing and photo angle, checked the angles and thickness of the letters with a triangular ruler and finally cut them with a razorblade and scissors.

I like this version a lot. (apart from the tape!)
-
• #164
Cheers! Imo the tape helps to make it look less military-esque so it'll stay until I get it re-painted :)

^^ this.
I know it's too late now but IMO purple tape would've been much better: https://www.xxcycle.com/marques/lizard_skins/images/large/30476.jpg

Purple might be nice, maybe I'll give it a try :)

So cool! Gumwall in plan?

I like the green tbh, can see the military thing too tho.
Maybe we should just swap frames and you can ride the unicorn bukkake and I'll look like an army wannabe?

Discovering this thread... Some lovely details on that frame!
What about that great idea of a fluo/fade paintjob?
-
• #174
The idea was abandoned because I grew used to the paintjob and because I bought another bike with an original orange to pink fluo paintjob :)
-
• #175
And a very good orange to pink paintjob it is too-you rode it much?
this is what i am takin about!! minus the bar position/bar type
understated but soo nice!
