@jambon Cheers :)
@Gaston glad you like it, the wheels look even better than I imagined, thanks again!
@Rodolfo good question, initially I was planning to get a pair of drilled max forks but the ones I was eyeing up didn't have enough steerer. The bike is currently at my parent's place in a rural area so I don't mind it being brakeless. If/when I move to Berlin I don't think I'll take it with me but I definitely wouldn't want to ride brakeless there. -

cant recommend no. I dont think they directly put your biek in one of those massive riotvans and drive off with it when "die bullen" find out you sport brakeless anymore like they did at the end off the 00's but its dumb anyway. from a law point of view you need two real brakes (fixed drive train doesnt count) and I just dont bother anymore with being cool having ridden fixed for almost a decade.
give us a shout when you relocate, and talk shit and bikes!:) -

Looking awesome
Quite like it with the 355s 👌

Nice to see a Cyfac here, looking good!
Where do you find the ti seatpost?
-

@AlphaOmega Cheers :)
@Rodolfo thanks for the intel! Same here, from a legal pov I'd prefer a brake but I don't want to drill the OG forks so I'll probably build up a fixed bike with brakes at some point. I'll definitely give you a shoutout when I relocate, would be nice to have a lfgss berlin chapter to do some social rides.
@MCamb thanks, I haven't had a chance to test the mavic bars since the weather is shit. Atm, I prefer the drops from an aesthetic pov.
@Lychee Cheers, it's a van nicholas zero setback post, I found it on marktplaats but the seller didn't want to ship abroad but luckily a nice forumer helped me out. -

the ergo stem... i cant stand it... i am happy you like it!
-
• #137
Fair enough, opinions tend to differ sharply when it comes to the ergostem. I actually bought it for the TT bars but the 100mm pro chrome stem felt a tiny bit too short so I put it on the drop bars to test different positions and I quite like the look of the combo :)

Terrible, so sad, fake news...
-
• #139
My ergostem is being treated so very unfairly when really people should be ...
-
• #140
... focusing on crooked hillary and corrupt dems. Sad!
-
• #141
Love it. That green comes to life with the blue Benotto tape,if you ride clipless fluoro Look carbon pedals could be rad/terrible.
-
• #142
Thanks :) I was also surprised how much the bartape changed the appearance of the frame colour. It's not real benotto cello tho, just some cheap but sturdy gift wrap hence the quotation marks. Not sure about the look pedals tho. For the final build when I'll get it repainted I want to get time atac pedals and maybe I can source a corima saddle to have a french 'best of'. It'll stay like this till next spring though.
-
• #143
Now I'm curious, how grippy is the gift wrap when it's wet?
-
• #144
Probably not very grippy but neither is the benotto cello from my experience. I'm not too concerned tho since I won't be riding it in the rain and I usually wear gloves when riding this type of tape cause it doesn't have any cushion. I'll replace it after the re-spray anyway :) Here's a close-up for comparison: the pink one is original benotto.

You going to sell the stem, I would be interested. Oh, actually whilst reading your comments, you're not talking about the one w/o the cockpit on top of it?
-
• #146
would it be possible to arrange the stem as below?
same bar position, but maybe look better? Maybe...

Technically it would be possible but I've never seen it used like that and can't imagine that it looks good (which is obvs subjective and may seem ironical to those who generally hate the ergostem). It's not exactly a crowd pleaser :D
@a-dam not sure if I understand what you mean, if you're asking whether the ergostem is for sale then I have to disappoint you. I would only be up for a trade against a silver ergostem. -
• #148
I ment this stem ;)

Ah that one, it's actually just borrowed from another bike + it's sanded down to 22mm to fit a french steerer and it has a crack in the top cap. If you're looking for a pro chrome stem, there's a nos one in 110mm for a good price on ebay atm: https://m.ebay.com/itm/3TTT-3Tstem-Pro-Chrome-110-mm-New-box-but-rust-spot-/311858403875?_mwBanner=1
