What's a reasonable price to pay for a day one f+f
and what's the carbon fork upgrade (that isn't the genesis one) to go for?thanks
bye. -

Love mine, it gets a proper thrashing every weekend. I've just fitted 2.2" tyres as the 40mm WTB Nanos were getting a bit overwhelmed and there's no fun to be had slowing down!

What’s the front rack of choice for an equilibrium with steel fork and rim brakes?

What style of rack do you want?

• #1634
Wondering about a pizza rack. Have a pannier one for the rear
-
• #1635
If you dont want panniers on the front Id go for something like a Nitto M18, pizza rack is OTT and i wouldnt fit it without mid blade eyelets.

Ok on further thought I think a front pannier rack could be best.
The problem I’m trying to solve is carrying my kid and her stuff to nursery and then onward to my work with small laptop and change of clothes. So she would be on a child seat, with her stuff in one pannier on the front and my stuff in the other pannier.
Thinking this would keep centre of gravity low enough to be stable for the (short) journey to nursery…? And then assume it’s not to bad for steering post drop off with the weight on one side at the front..?
Have no experience with racks / bikepacking.

front loading makes your bike much more stable when stopped and riding

I did this with a pizza rack and it was fine post kid drop off

Do you remember which rack and what sort of bike? And were you using panniers? Thanks!

If anyone has one of the more recent Croix de Fer framesets for sale in a size 52, let me know. I'm going full circle and looking at reaquiring the bike I should never have sold back in 2018.

Has anyone tried putting 650b wheels on their Vagabond?
I've progressed to larger tyres (2.2") and am loving the extra cush, but it's raised the bike up to the point that I have trouble getting a foot down in emergencies.
Going to 650b X 2.2" would bring the wheel back to the same diameter as my old 700x40c set up.Are there any disadvantages I've not thought of?

Very cool!

Does anyone have a large Croix de Fer frame for sale? After years of loyal service I'm entertaining the idea that my medium may be a little small.
-
• #1649
Reason why I sold mine is I needed a 58/60 over the medium I had.
Great great bikes
