Was that from a day when you took wrong turns? There's a detour at mile 77 and a small one into Chaston Road in Great Shelford.

Yes, don't under eat straight after the ride, a guy ended up in hospital after TCR last year doing that! He had serious muscle wastage, basically didn't eat enough so started eating himself
Hunger is the body's way of telling you something.
Also the only diet that works is one that you do permanently! -

No, that was the route I used. Any blips are down to my poor drawing.

Just my bad luck to get Oliver as the first person to comment. I was hoping for "what a wonderfully emotive piece of prose" or something similar. Not on LFGSS. Not when Oliver's around.

As if I'd call such poetry 'prose'. :)

What a wonderfully emotive piece of prose

I didn't think the prose was all that. The riding and dedication was amazing, very inspiring.

Thank you. I really appreciate your comment.

And what will it inspire you to do?

Never tip your bike upside down, unless you find yourself in Australia.

I got you fam.
Seriously though - a really inspiring couple of weeks on this thread. I'm often left cold by charity events as they seem like someone doing something they love and then asking for people to pay for it (see jumping out of a plane for charity...) but this seemed like a grueling undertaking from the get go and your resolve to complete it was impressive. It's also a very worthy cause who don't get nearly enough attention, it would seem.
Chapeau

Threw some cash at your page. Great effort to get out there and bust out 200s day after day when most people struggle with doing a single one.

I stayed upright for over 100 hours of cycling. That wouldn't happen in 40 minutes of cross. And you can forget that extra lap.

Peachy.

Bastard. Or should I say "cheeky git!"

When are you going to start the 'WornCleat does TCR No6' thread?
-
• #300
I shall write a long post on why I will not be doing the TCR. The tl:dr version is that I have now determined beyond question that I am not capable and my admiration of those that are is now the much greater.
Love the family shot clive, they look v. proud.
